Not sure that linking to a story that actual happened is a stereotype. I see you were paying attention also.

Also not sure how posting a link to a story about a very prominent religious figure, explaining something he believed in, was designed to denigrate a whole people.. I see someone else was paying attention. The obvious pro Islam bias really reared it's ugly head.

How many times daily is something some Liberal,Conservative, pro-gun, anti-gun,pro christian, anti-christian, pro-abortion, anti-abortion, Republican or Democrat, did or said that may portray them in a negative light posted ? Heck if we did not do that we would not have a forum

But post a link to Muslim Religious leader saying something, that he called for in an open forum and it get's shut down.

What's telling to you? Race based riots are racial in nature. Are you saying it's a stereotype to say there may be riots if GZ is found innocent?

Believing that black people will riot every time a black person is not fairly treated by our criminal justice system is not only absurdly stupid, it's racially offensive. What some prominent black person predicts is one thing, but there are some here who believe that blacks have a propensity to riot and loot when things don't go their way. They point to things like hurricane Katrina or Rodney king verdict as 'proof.' It's false logic, stupid and rooted in prejudice.

I don't know if anyone said blacks have a "propensity" to riot. Generally when there is a race riot, it's not unfair to assume that there is a racial minority rioting. History tells us this. It does happen when things "don't go their way" To deny that is burying your head in the sand and ignoring history.

History tells nothing of the sort except your selective, distorted view of history. They are many injustices towards blacks by our criminal justice system, injustices by society towards black people simply because of their skin color, and no rioting as a result. surprising though it may seem, what we see, read and hear about in the media is not an accurate representation of reality.

If you want, we can discuss the circumstances surrounding the Rodney king beating and the rioting, but nevertheless, a totally unrelated event.

I doubt it. But we will definitely see a backlash from the african american community. I just hope it won't be as violent as it was over the Rodney King verdict.

Frankly, I hope it's worse. Except this time I hope they're smart enough to target white neighborhoods.

Lincoln is a bit delusional. So many of our urban minority neighborhoods are a hair trigger away from exploding and everyone knows it. Especially over the summer when all those young boys and men are home all day with nothing to do.

Fantastic, I'm fairly new here, but already I can see that people resort to calling others unintelligent or racist in order to gain the edge on a debate, rather than address the assertation directly. Wonderful debating skills.

And, for the record, I predicted a "backlash" from the african american community, which doesn't necessarily equate to violence. Next time read more carefully if you want to call others unintelligent.

Back to the subject, do you deny this backlash will occur?
