When we went for ours, we stayed together, was really simple and straight forward. Asked us about 5 or 6 questions then we was done, didnt look at any evidence or photo's that we took with us

I have seen people report that they were questioned separately at their first interview, but this is not common. It is the typical norm for the couple to be questioned together and only need one interview to be approved. If they suspect fraud is involved, then they may call the couple back for a Stokes interview.

After the H-ll of Lagos , AOS is a cakewalk. They usually let you stay together and just want to see that you are a couple and have evidence of that . A couple of questions, a quick observation of your behavior together and you are good to go. Most people that have tough AOS interviews are those that are adjusting from shady methods / long overstays

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Agree with everyone above. As long as everything you submit is legit and nothing that would raise eyebrows you should be just fine.

My USCIS Journey...

I had an I-485 filing already submitted through an employment-based application. Post-marriage, I submitted an I-130, which after being approved was interfiled with the existing I-485.

I-130 Timeline:

04/04/13 - Day 000 - I-130 packet sent via FedEx

04/05/13 - Day 001 - I-130 packet delivered

04/08/13 - Day 004 - NOA 1

04/11/13 - Day 007 - NOA1 hard copy received - case under initial review

11/18/13 - Day 228 - Case transferred fom NBC to TSC

12/09/13 - Day 249 - NOA 2 - I-130 APPROVED!

07/02/14 - Day 454 - Status changed to testing & interview. Interview date August 4!!

08/04/14 - Day 487 - Mini-Stokes interview. IO intended on approving AOS but computer did not show I-130 approval. The wait goes on...

08/18/14 - Day 501 - Spoke with Tier 2 IO - said that my I-485 is approved but no card prodn ordered. Asked to call back in 2 weeks if no update.

Please give me the answer to this question.

On the interview letter. They said bring an translater to the interview if my wife doesn't speak/understand English.

But they also said I need to be there. Well, I can be the translator for my wife so does that mean i still have to get a translator with us to the interview?

My understanding is that they will want your wife to answer specific questions (about you and your relationship) by herself. If you are interpreting for her, they won't be able to trust that you are not coaching her or supplying her answers for her.
