my wife had an easiest interview

So my wife had an interview yesterday.

When she met the interviewer(with an english interpreter), they asked if she brought 2 visa photos with her. She didnt, so they handed her a 221(g) paper. They didn't ask anything else.

So she went to take 2 photos and came back at embassy at 1pm. She handed the photos to them, and they said congratulations.

My wife was shocked. She asked if she passed the interview, they said yes.

She told me that the two of them didn't even look at her. They were entering something into their computer, and said congratulations to her.

They asked her to write down her address, and they will mail the visa to her home.

So i have a couple of questions:

1. why didnt they ask her any questions other than the photos?

2. Why didn't she get the pink slip at the embassy like most people who passed the interview?

3. Why was her interview so easy?

I understand OP's concerns though. This whole process has so many us so worked up that when it goes tooooooo easy, we start wondering if they(immigration/consulate) are gonna make a turn around on their decision because they missed something.

Degreeofhope, honestly your spouse interview was so unique that I dnt see how you can help others that way. what are you going to tell them? "don't go with your passport photos so they can give you a 221g and by the time come back, you will get an approval?"

No I didn't give them anything other than the intended documents( marriage/birth cert, police doc, blah blah blah)

I didnt give them our phone/email/chat records. they didn't even ask for our wedding photos.

the only thing I did differently was when I mailed in the DS-230(or 320) to NVC, I included 6 photos our trip together in cambodia, and a pic of us on valentines day, eventhough NVC never asked for the photos.
