I went to US on a tourist visa last October of 2012 and married my husband in San Francisco. Went back to my home country and filed for I130 last March and is now waiting for approval. I am 5 months pregnant now. Honestly, we have been hoping that our case be approved before I give birth. We were wondering if I can use my B1/B2 visa to go US again and give birth and take advantage of my husband's insurance so we don't have to worry about medical expenses here.

You probably will not be able to get onto his insurance without a social security card.

I was able to get onto his insurance immediately after we got married when I was still in San Francisco. The people in the health services agreed to add me while we are in the process of getting a social security. They understand that getting a social security is a lengthy process so they had it blank on my record.

I am concerned because I heard from people that if you have a pending immigration application you will not be able to enter the US, which will render my tourist visa invalid.

Your B2 is not invalid. You can try to use it but it's unlikely they will let you in when you are visibly pregnant. Before you try, do get something in writing that the insurance will cover you even though you will not be residing in the USA, only visiting. Several health insurances I know, you must be residing in the state you take the insurance out in for them to pay. Also keep in mind that depending on co=pays and deductibles, giving birth in Phils may still be cheaper.

Entering with a visitors visa with intent to stay is illegal and recommending this as a solution is against the terms of this board as we are not allowed to recommend illegal act. The OP could end up with a lifetime ban as a result of you recommending something illegal

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
