My friend is an August filer, he went to a paralegal who specialize in immigration, she told him, the following:

You must receive your NOA2 with in 90 Days of petition submission.

the whole process from day one should only take 6 month no longer.

its nothing but excuses that they are telling everyone who calls, they are responsible to finish the cases in a the given time frame, regarding how much of a workload they have.

she asked him if he had tried to go to CSC and get status update? (apparently you can goto the CSC in person and request info on your case.)

she took a fee, and she will proceed with helping him speed up the process, she will goto the CSC herself and get the Petition approval right there.

this Paralegal, is very trusted and proven to have been getting cases sped up in the process.

Well too bad she doesn't know what she is talking about. Her lying paid off though, for her. She got paid!

I am still chuckling at 'You must receive your NOA2 with in 90 Days of petition submission.' Though I believe they meant the NOA1 receipt notice, not NOA2 approval notice since it went on to say it takes no longer than 6 months, which is also very untrue for many people.

the USCIS processing time doesn't tell you 5.5 or 7.5 month specifically for NOA2, it would mean the whole process.

people arnt going to refer her if she is lying.... only time will tell, if she gets the approval like she said, then she isnt lying.

and we all belive we are getting the run around with this whole july 18 #######...

There is nothing a lawyer or paralegal can do to speed up the process. Do a search here on VJ about lawyers speeding up your approval time. You will see many posts about it and they all say the same thing: No, they cannot speed up anything for you. That paralegal has no authority to go to the CSC and get petitions approved there. It simply is not true, sorry.

The 5.5 or 7.5 months are the average time for the USCIS step only ...it may take less and may take a bit longer to get approved then some more time in the NVC process and embassy as well
