Congrats!!! My weird thought is that a person would think that they would approve the petitions of the married couples filing apart from each other as quickly as they do the couples filing abroad together. Plus, I think it should be WAAAY quicker than the couples not even married yet. Just my opinion please no one take offense. Im a little jealous... smile.png

I thought I'd add myself to this so others can see another April filer. Papers received at NVC April 19th, NOA1 April 24th.

I am beneficiary (australian)

Does anyone think I might be in the US by Christmas?? :(

I know for a fact we will have a RFE, we have it all ready to express once we get it, so should only set us back no more than a week I would think?

I agree. It's hard to not be jealous. I've been married 2 and half years and my cousin has interview date and moving to US in 6 weeks on a K1 that moved VERY fast. waaahhh!!

at least you'll know when they are actually working on your file when you get the RFE... supposidly sitting on someones desk just waiting for the requested info to come in.... Let us know ....please..

I know, I agree... would make much more sense to get through those of us who are thousands of miles away from our loved ones.... but then nothing about this process makes any sense!!

Maybe, if you get all your documents prepared for the next step now... I don't think I'll be over in the USA until at least end of Jan... but then I'm starting to lose a little faith in all this as our file is still sat in a pile somewhere at NBC and hasn't even been trasferred to our local office yet :(

I know what you mean about losing faith. At times I feel like I'll never get back there. Hard to not let it get you depressed. I'm going to get late Jan into my head too so anything earlier will be a bonus.

dry.png I just checked Igor's list AGAIN... K-1's are flying outta here.... approvals for the NBC are here and there and few and far between. I thought they had to adjudicate a certain amount of files per day ( each person) I know that VJ is a very very very small amount of filers, but come on .... really?

Can people please update on here if they hear of their case being transferred to their local office yet please? Tier2 keeps telling my hubby it's at USCIS and yet to be transferred, which is severely depressing :(

I called earlier and honestly I still haven't found out any useful information. I'd be better off talking to my wall for answers. They said my file isn't going to be transferred but in a way I wish they would (it probably will) Atleast then I can do a info pass and go into the office.

Hi guys, early May filer here...yes, I am getting really depressed too, as I actually got married because at the time K1s were going nowhere (and we had already sent ours in, and it would have been approved by now).

My husband pointed out that USCIS seems to be able to handle only pumping out one petition at a time. Right now they are focusing on K1s. Hopefully our time will come soon!!!

It's hard to keep our spirits up when NOTHING seems to be happening at NBC cray5ol.gif
