Hi guys,

My AOS was recently approved and I have my greencard. Yay so far. Just before that was approved though, I applied for a new travel parole document because my first one was about to run out. A few days later and before I was able to send in a letter cancelling my I-131 application, I checked the online status of that again and it says: On April 5, 2013, we mailed you a notice terminating your status. I don't have the notice yet and the person on the phone at USCIS did not know what that means. Sigh.

A little part of me is worried that this somehow interfered with my approved AOS. Please someone tell me that the "terminated status" means the travel doc application was terminated and not my permanent resident status - right?

And I thought I was done for a while with worrying about USCIS things... Grumble...

If that update is on your I-131 case, nothing to worry about. It makes sense that they cancelled the renewal of it, as you got your green card. You can travel using your green card. The I-131 (AP) was just a temporary travel document.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes, that notice was under the online status thing for the I-131. I know I don't need the I-131, it's just that "status terminated" sounds a lot like permanent resident status terminated to someone who has become paranoid about things that can randomly go wrong with this process... But hey, I'm happy you believe that it has nothing to do with my AOS. Hopefully the letter will come soon and wipe out my last remaining worries.
