So it appears that there has been 6 approvals in the last 2 days at CSC...it's great getting a little action from CSC finally....but out of the 6 approvals 2 were November filers and 3 were December filers....####### is going on CSC??? what happened to july/august/September/October??? it really blows my mind and makes me furious that Ive been waiting since August 20th and they're pulling December approvals out of their ####...how does that happen? does anybody have any idea as to how they would manage this? a method to their madness perhaps?

I requested in site suggestions that there be a way for people to indicate if they requested an expedite and if it was accepted. I think it would help folks to understand what's going on more clearly.

Regardless, at least one of those is not an expedite, going by the users activity in the forums.

The selfish side of me is hoping they will do me too (November 30). The fair-minded side of me is asking the very same question... Forgive me for being selfish.

I don't blame anyone for wanting their noa2, whenever it comes. My blame lies strictly with the USCIS, and a government that allows such a bullshit system to be allowed to run as it does.

I feel the same about you liddy. There a bunch of folks here that I am sure I will break down in tears of joy when they get their approvals. I can literally feel the frustration of each July, August, September and now October filer here. This empathy just makes my wait harder.... But I wouldn't have it any other way. Being here on these forums, sharing the frustration. Hashing out ideas of what we might be able to do, has really helped keep me sane.

Approving Nov / Dec people will make their average duration look good so too bad for july august, sept & oct people.

268 days. I stopped hoping. Fiancée woke me up to sing Happy Bday but won't celebrate.

I still believe these to be oddities. I don't think they have suddenly jumped ahead and started processing November+ at the old rate, otherwise we would be seeing RFEs also coming in for that group of people, which we're not.

If the RFEs start popping up for that month too, then start to wonder about those damaged files...

I am wondering...These late Nov-early december approvals are close to the 5 month goal. If they work only on the older cases, it will take a long time to reach the 5 month goal. Could it be that, for whatever metric is used, that it is better to have X% in the goal, and the older cases that are already past, it doesn't matter if they are 6, or 7, or 8, or 9, or...months, that they are late anyway, so it is low priority to work on those since it won't affect their metric?

This really could be the feared black hole.

Who knows what metrics they use internally but I think the processing date determines the processing time for public information. They have to move July 18th before they can publicly show the processing time has moved towards the 5 month processing goal.
