Hello everyone. My husband recently received an email from National Visa Center stating:

We received the Immigrant Visa Processing Fee Payment(s) for this case.
You must now download and complete the Immigrant Visa Application and
submit it with the required original civil documents for the principal
applicant and each derivative applicant that will accompany him/her to
the United States. Please visit the following website for instructions
on how to obtain and submit the Immigrant Visa Application.

Can you please tell me what is meant by this? Does this mean that our Affidavit of Support (AOS) Packet is already approved? By the way we submitted first our AOS packet.

I think it's asking for the DS 230 (IV packet) form and supporting civil documents. Go ahead and read the first two posts in this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/422214-nvc-filers-april-2013/ if you haven't yet. Saylin has a lot of useful information there. Have called to see if the AOS has been accepted yet? Good luck!

So how long ago did you pay the IV BILL? Looks like a false checklist. Usually when AOS is accepted they will generate the checklist. Since you paid the fee they send you the email. You should have already had it sent in if you paid and are ready.

Both AOS and IV fees are paid already upon checking the portal. NVC send us also an email that they already received both fees. The AOS and IV packets was sent already at NVC after paying. I am so confused about their email. I called up NVC and told me that there's no update yet on their system. So pissed.

no, for the OP, this is something else- basically, 'thank you for paying the IV fee bill, now send us the IV packet'

Not the one , the false checklist, when an AOS intake is tagged completed at NVC.

ah - that's different.

that's just NVC 'catching up' with stuff.

Don't worry about it - you can consider it a false checklist, maybe, but it really is official notification that the IV fee bill was paid.

IMO, time and timing is off with NVC, there ain't nothing real-time about any of their 'reporting' systems, at all.

So, wait a bit, cause even though you sent in the IV set? It still has to wind it's way through the building from the mailroom to a reviewer, and there's always a queue inbetween.

Relax la.
