Hi where did you find this info

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/ProcTimes.do

If that link doesn't work go here http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=2&charttype=1

Then click check processing times on the left. Then enter info on bottom graph.

Wow 7.5 months, insanity.

As I said before, K1 will start taking one year, maybe two, once DACA and Immigration reform really starts clogging up the system. What's sad is if you filed June 2012, you were approved in 90 days. If you filed in July or after (when DACA started picking up steam), it went to 7 months and longer.

This is getting really ridiculous..I mean, come on...they haven't updated those processing times from febr 5th till march 23rd and from march 23rd till april 3rd, they already updated 3 times?? they really must be getting fed up with all the calls and the inquiries. If i was sure that they would process the petition at 7,5 months i would have no problem..but i'm pretty sure by the time i get to those 7.5 months, they'll change again the processing times at least 2 or 3 times.. my fiance will be contacting his congresswoman this week, i really hope after we will have a positive answer.

Vermont was 8.5 months forever, when CSC was churning them out in 90 days, I can't find any fuss over the years searching through these forums about Vermont taking too long or filing lawsuits or contacting senators from those filers. What did Vermont filers do when they had to wait 8.5 months, maybe it can be emulated, as now the tables are turned.

Wow. I just dropped off my letter and visited with my senator's aide. He checked the website with me looking over his shoulder at 1130 CST and it was 6.6 months. I told him that less than a month ago it said 5.5 months and I tried to reinforce the point that it is the unchanging 5 month National goal which is what matters to me. He was thinking "maybe we shouldn't bother to call in until the 6.6 months hits", well now what? This gives fuel to argument that the CSC number doesn't mean much. If their missing their national standard on petitions the CSC should hear about it.

I may go in tomorrow quick and talk to the aide and show him the 7.5 months. The more I think about it, the California Service Center number should be a number of how long of a wait a brand new (or very recent petitioner, 2-4 weeks) can expect. Then I can buy the number ... but if you are in a situation like we are where the 5.5 months you signed up for magically turns into 6.6 and now 7.5 months and we are just supposed to sit tight and be quiet until the CSC SWAG time passes ... no sane person who loves their fiancee would stand aside and let this happen without taking notice.

Also notice it says "Effective as of: February 28, 2013" ... that's bull or at least a mistake! They just updated it today!

At least they fixed the national average from 10.2 to 8.9 months and they got rid of the wrong data from Texas and Nebraska. 7.5 months would be correct, each months data will add another extra month seeing as they have not processed anything since November 2012.

According to their chart, the CSC's priority dates for K-1 are middle of July. The DACA applicants priority dates are in mid August and their work permits are processed within 90 days. In other words, an illegal alien will both get a work permit and get an order preventing him from being deported faster than a US citizen will to get his or her spouse here. To say that I am disappointed in my government is an understatement.

7.5 months? I'd have been happy if it was 7.5 months. I'm at 8.5 months now...

7.5 months is effective as of February 28th..by the time they update for April, it will show 8,5 or 9 months

I went through the CR-1 process at the VSC last year. At that time CSC was approving applications so fast! VSC was pretty much at a standstill. You may not be able to find any of the posts on the forum now, but I can assure you that we were all just as mad as you guys are now. I remember reading someplace that the service centers seems to shift back and forth between who is fast and who is slow! I have to say, they do seem very slow at going through the K-1 applications! I hope for all of you that this turns around soon!

Oh, and you asked what VSC filers did to speed things up. Well, honestly I don't think any of us didn't anything much different from you guys. Some people called their congressman/woman, some I think contacted the Ombudsman. There really doesn't seem to be any options for people whos applications are within the processing dates listed. It is sort of how they lock you out of the process it seems. When I went through the VSC they had their processing time listed as 5 months. My application took SEVEN, which I hear is super long for a CR-1 application. K-1 applications were taking even longer. :(

Here is an old thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/385007-vsc-still-slow/page__st__15

I know you said you couldn't find any, but trust me, we posted a lot about the slowness of VSC last year.

I really hope you guys get CSC moving again, but I am not really sure how it can be done. Maybe they will shuffle files to another office? I think that is what the VSC did last year in August, and then they did seem to speed up a bit.
