Not until after she recieves her work authorization, takes about 3 months. If you reads the guides you will be able to find more information there.

I just want to add that EAD is submitted with AOS. Anytime before that and it costs. Not only will it cost something to submit it before AOS, it will be a waste of money because it most likely won't be approved before her I94(lawful status) is up, making it invalid and useless.

Fastest way: Get married after US entry, gather all needed documents, submit AOS as soon as possible, add the EAD and AP forms + supporting evidence along with it to waive the fees of those two and about 3 months after you have submitted the AOS, work auth. will be approved.

About half AOS applicants adjusting from K1 status don't have an interview. It migth take longer to get the greencard all in total however the work auth. then gets a decision within 3 months of submitting it.

She'll need ssn along with EAD to start working. Apply for ssn about a week or two after US entry. She can apply in her maiden name and go back changing the last name(along with copy of marriage cert.) after you're married if she want your last name -in such case, file AOS/EAD/AP in married name. As long as she apply for ssn within 76 days of her US entry. Meaning with ssn already in hand when she gets EAD, she can start working same day she receives EAD in mail. EAD and ssn has to be with the same name.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

We filled our AOS, EAD, AP last January 31, 2013 and now I got my EAD card only but not for my daughter. We also been waiting for our AP because we have upcoming trip by the end of May for my second wedding in my home country. I never able to check our case online also..." it says... Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."... I called so many times to the USCIS phone number but they can't tell me what is the reason why its not working, but they said not to worry about it and they don't see any negative impact with our application. What should I do now? Should I wait until the end of April or should I do something now to get our AP faster?

Thank you...

God bless

Usually, they say allow 3 months for EAD. Unless she's needing EAD/AP fast, they might not do anything before it's outside the average processing time. But it won't hurt your case to inquire about your case.

How old is your daughter and did she already go to her biometrics appointment?

Make an info-pass appointment if you have the time to go for one, bring proof of your(and her) travel arrangements and ask to have her AP/EAD expedited. Otherwise ask to be transferred to a tier 2 operator when calling USCIS. The first person you speak to can't see anything more than you can.

Some people experience problems checking their cases online. If you sent in both EAD, AP and AOS for your daughter, you should have 3 NOA1 hardcopies; one for each application.

EDIT: On a sidenote, remember to start your own topic with questions in the future :)

If you look at your EAD, you will most likely see it is also your AP. They give out a combo card now, and not individual cards when you apply for them together. You got your EAD pretty fast, I'd assume your daughter's AP can't be far behind.
