Hey, I just want everyone's opinion on what I should do.

So..I just realized last week that I don't have one of the documents needed for my DS-230 package [i got confused about the PCC, I thought my husband didn't need one, yeah I didn't read it correctly] and I won't have it until next week enabling me to mail out my package after April 15th when 2012 taxes are due. I'am planning to do them on Friday, but I just feel bad for my sponsor since she has to pay to do her taxes again! We just did 2011 3 weeks ago

The benefit of sending my stuff out now is that they can start working on it, and I can slide by the 2012 tax request info. But I worry that when they ask for the PCC, It will hold me up 1-2 weeks more...to finally complete my case

So should I just send it in now and wait for NVC to send me the checklist and have my PCC out asap(next day mail) or wait for the PCC and have a super smooth sailing at NVC..and even if I do wait and send out my stuff by April 15th..if they get it on the 16th and start working on it the 17th..Then in 10 business days, that's May..in the long run, I just want my case to be complete by april for a June interview date...looking at someone else with a similar history as I from 2years ago, they finished everything by April 21 and had a June 28th interview(but they asked for an earlier date)...ugh...the choices...

This is a very long indecisive question..XD

I would say wait for the document. If you get a checkist, that means a) a day wasted for checklist, b) They have to put everything away and pack it up while they wait c) additional shipping and queue time of 2 weeks for them to check the additional document d) open up your file again, higher chances of a re-review and additional checklists and e) More touches on your case, more chances of things getting out of place, etc.

I just want to give a shout out...I know we all grumble a lot and rightfully so since being away from the ones we love can make us grumpy! But today the NVC actually pulled through. At 10:30am we got our DS-3032 acceptance email. We were so excited I checked the portal 3 times during the day to see if I would get the error message which came before the AoS got invoiced but no dice. I knew it would be a couple of days but this morning I put the IV packet in my computer bag to keep with me during the week in case we got invoiced so I could mail it right out. At 4:30pm I checked my email and had something from the NVC I figured it was this "false checklist" thing and really didn't read it but thought "I'll just check the portal one more time" HOLY COW WE HAVE BEEN INVOICED! I typed to my husband on Skype. I paid that so fast and printed that cover sheet so fast...the clock was counting down. The post office closed at 6pm. When I got there she told me next day express mail ends at 5pm, BUT the last truck hadn't gotten there yet so even though they guarantee it to be there Thursday by noon she said it likely will get there tomorrow. As I pulled out of the parking lot in pulled the truck! Everything just fell into place! Sometimes we get lucky and I'm hoping you guys needing it get some of that luck too!!! Just had to share a hopeful good story. Loving all the others I'm reading too!

Its like everything else they send it when they send it. I had interview assigned 3/5 and casefile sent out 3/11 and arrived at embassy 3/14 signed for by Ben Obi.

Just call no need to panic dear. Call and ask has my case been sent. If it has they will give you date than you can DHL track it if you want.

Thank you for the response, I am referring to the AOS/IV package that I sent to them. How long does it take to be sent from the mailroom to someone for review. I'm sorry for not being too clear. Just nervous since I get paranoid about everything. Thank you for the response

From the time the packages arrived at NVC, it should only take a week or two to review and approve, assuming there's no checklist.

Sorry that wasn't clear. Usually about a week to 14 days. Give it a week before you start calling i would say.

Thank you dwheels76 and oohpartiv for the answers. My package was signed for by Fairbanks on March 28th. Just paranoid since mail sometimes finds its way to the wrong place and gets lost. I know I'm freaking out when I probably shouldn't, but I'll be at peace when I can call and have confirmation. I'll just give them until Monday before calling to increase my chances of it at least being opened by someone.
