Hello everyone!

Just reporting that our VISA was APPROVED yesterday :dancing: :dance: . Our march 5th blessing(God's chosen date to assign us interview) came to frutiion.

I am not going anywhere though. Even when this baby comes out, only for short period then I come back to assist the few I can here on VJ.

it depends on the airport cos some are very busy. Also depending on ur connecting flight type, that first touch down may be your POE of entry where they will do the security screening etc . For example, if you are flying into NYC through ATL, ATL may be your POE after which the connecting flight becomes local which means your securtiy screening and all that paperwork will be done at ATL. So that means 2hrs may not be enough.

How long should I wait before calling the NVC asking about a interview date? I know Turkey is behind. Should I just wait or call?

I do not want to make those waiting on the Guayaquil, Ecuador consulate jealous, but our request for an expedite was accepted on Friday . It took around 9 business days for the Guayaquil consulate to respond to our request.

So you didn't have to wait for them to give you an initial date first? That's good news for me, because I was planning on requesting an expedite but read on the website I had to wait for an initial date to be made first. I'm sending it out tomorrow, in that case! I do not have an interview date yet. I sent an e-mail to NVC with “supervisor review” in the subject line. The next day NVC sent my request to the consulate. Then the consulate accepted the request and then NVC sent my case paperwork to the consulate. NVC said that I should wait until the consulate contacts me or I can call the consulate in a few days after our case paperwork arrives. You can PM me if you like. I had some good reasons for an expedite, at least USCIS and the consulate thought they where important enough to expedite. Good luck to you all.
