Hi Y'all,

Well, I'm new and nervous. I sent my I-129 to Louisville, lockbox. I just realized San Antonio has an office but I don't know what they do as far as processing? Did I send form to proper place and does anyone use their "local" offcie for anything?

Thanks!!

LA

Hello and welcome to the forum! :) What exactly are you applying for? You posted in the K-1 (fiancé) visa forum, in your information to the left it says F-1 (student) visa, and in your post you are referring to the I-129 (work) visa. I assume you mean the I-129F petition for alien fiancé though?

As for the K-1 visa, yes you send it to the Dallas/Louisville address, and it will then be forwarded to either the Vermont or the California Service Center, where it will be adjudicated. Local service centers are not involved in the process.

Thank you! I will fix my information. It's an I 129 F.

Your local office will come into play later, after the foreign fiance(e) has already been granted the K-1, entered the US, married you and is filing to adjust status and eventually removing conditions. You will go there for biometrics and an interview, if called for one. The local office is also where you schedule Infopass appointments if you have a problem with your case and need to get information directly from the USCIS.

Lewisville. Lewisville !!! L E W I S V I L L E !

Spelling won't matter, as long as you've got the zip code correct (as there is a Louisville TX a few parsecs over)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
