There are plenty of areas that already regulate dogs with a reputation for violence. Have you never heard of a pit-bull ban before?

There's a reason animal shelters are full of them. People are a) afraid of them b) uninformed about the breed or c) not allowed to own them.

Yeah both those are State by State or even county laws..... we need federal action, perhaps a registry

for people who buy or transfer these dangerous dogs.

Too easy for people to bring them in from places that don't have progressive laws.

I'm not sure this is a good comparison. Animals have basic instincts and therefore it makes perfect sense to have dog free zones especially where wildlife is concerned. Just my opinion.
