Richisusie - the NOA1 date is the most important date because that is what everything is tracked from - and it will be within a week of when you mailed it anyway, so really it's about the same, but is more official b/c that's when you really start waiting

How about we put date of approval instead of saying "Approved"?

Did I do it right? if not, please correct it...im computer illeterate...

Only person who is approved is BradyVicky so when he checks this again i am sure he will edit his "approved" with the date... Good idea by the way

I'd like to add myself to the list, but I'm not sure exactly what my NOA1 date is since I upgraded with citizenship recently, that is what I'm supposed to start counting from... so I would put my NOA1 as 10/25/06.

Not entirely true. OK, NOA1 may be the most 'important', but you dont ALWAYS get the NOA1 1 week after the petition has been sent off.

I woudl say you really 'start waiting' the day you mail the petition off, but it is incorrect to say you receive the NOA1 within a week, it may be an 'average', but it isnt the case in ALL cases.

sorry for exaggerating Richisusie, I meant to say usually - but realistically USCIS can't possibly start working on it until they consider it received And I know they're lying but they say the petitions are processed in the order of that date, not the date it was mailed on. (they obviously just work on whatever random petition happens to be on their desk).

Personally, I think it'd be better with a 'mailed' date, but its not my call.

I witnessed a lot of that with the K1 petitions. Ours flew through, whereas others who sent theirs ages before ours had to wait a long time.
