I try to find the answer how I should sign this Form for my son in Part 7

I have a couple of variations: .

First only me and i Print my name

Second me in the 1st row and my husband/spouse in the second

Third Print name of son on the 1st row and my husband signature on the second

The second question about Part4, who should be there:

I -his mother and permanent resident with 10 years GC or my husband US citizen

Thank you.

He is your son and hence you sign for him. It is to hold the parent responsible for the details provided. I suggest that you sign it.

You sign in the "signature" column and lets say your name is "Mary Link" and sons name is "Jim Link", hence "Print Name" should be "Mary Link for Jim Link". Enter "NA" in the Signature of Spouse.

I saw some links where children (little older and are able to write) signed for them selves and then one of the parent singed under "Signature of Spouse" by overwriting "Spouse" with "Mother" or "Father" (as the case may be). I don't recommend this to you, as you son is just 4 years old.

Of course my son in his age will not sign this form by himself, that is why I asked how sign for him.

I think that if my husband US citizen should be in Part 4 ( I'm not sure about it ether ) he should sigh in place with Signature of Spouse, but if I in Part 4, as permanent citizen with out conditions, I don't know....

Yes, Part 4 should have your US husband details (similar to your I-751). You sign for your son and have your husband sign under "Siganture of Spouse" by sticking "Spouse" and by writing with black pen "Step Father" or "Parent".

Joint filing is required only in your case (husband and wife) and not the child, who is forced to file sepaerately due to 90 days clause. But it is perfectly alright to get your husband also to sign, as suggested above. It gives you peace of mind and USCIS will have two people responsible for the details filled in. It is a win-win situation.

Thanks a lot! Do you think that is it OK to sticking "Spouse" and by writing with black pen "Step Father" or "Parent"? Sound strange :)

Technically speaking, I don't think that your husband need to sign at all. If that was needed, they would have changed the form to reflect "Signature of Spouse/ Parent". If you really want to be correct technically, then just you just sign for your son and enter "NA" under "Signature of Spouse". Then get your husband to sign Part 8, as the preparer of the application. That way you can technically be right and still have your husband sign the application.

I saw one post where a separate I-751 was filed for child (10 years old) due to the 90 days clause, where the child signed and the parent stiked out Spouse and wrote Parent. But this application is still in process and in that case the child signed. I personally don't think it is right.

can he write his name in black crayon, then you sign under it?

That'd be cool, I'm a thinking so.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

This issue comes up with passports, this is the State Departments answer:

Q:My child is too young to sign his/her own passport. How do I sign my child's passport?

A:In the space provided for the signature, the mother or father must print the child's name and sign their own name. Then, in parenthesis by the parent's name, write the word (mother) or (father) so we know who signed for the child.

There are 3 boxs: One is Signature, second is Print name and third is date

So you think that i should sign in first and put parenthesis write mother, in Print name box - print son's name , 3- date.

This is just to remove confusion - please sign in the first column and write below that in parenthesis (Mother - Ms. Mary Link), Print son's name in the second column and of course date in the date column.
