My spouse (Petitioner-USC) just called me that she is filling her income tax for 2012, is she suppose to put single as her marital status since the information required need my SSN (beneficiary), which i dont have for now. We are legally married since april 2012.

please i need response, is urgent plsss...thanks alot

She should file married filing separately. Or she can file extension now and file taxes as married filing jointly after you move to US. If she waits till you move to US, she will likely get bigger refund.

I wouldn't use "supervisor review" for a first email. It's supposed to be used when the first email isn't accepted within the normal 1 - 2 weeks.

I would personally feel uncomfortable "using" the system like that, especially considering the fact that the normal processing time shouldn't slow you down.

I'm curious how other members feel about that?

Also agree. If you don't hear anything after 10 - 14 days, then I'd do it. Otherwise just send it as instructed in the format in the first post. I didn't need to send a "supervisor review" email and they still got back to me within 2 weeks, as is normal. good.gif

Did you guys attach a signed/scanned copy of DS-3032 with the DS-3032 email? I've the signed form by beneficiary, I am just not sure if I should attach it with DS-3032 email.

I agree - I am not going to email second request with "supervisor review" until i finish my timeframe of 2 weeks....it just aint right!!

I am also not planning on sending first email with 'supervisor review'. Besides, I am also not aware of any VJ member sending their 1st email with supervisor review and having a smooth finish without delays. For some reason, the phrase 'supervisor review' makes me feel uncomfortable. It gives me an impression that something is wrong with the case and thus needs special attention.

You can - I've seen some do this - but I didn't, and it was fine anyway. I still got my approval a little over a week later. good.gif

Thta's good to know, thanks :) I've the form just as a backup, sort of like last resort of email did not work for some reason. I'll skip it too.

Hi guys..ok for the DS-3032 does it have to be signed by my wife the benif? or can i sign it? i know you must of heard this question a lot of times but i just dont want run into any mistakes...because what im having her do is complete the form sign it and then she will scan it, attach it to an email sending it to me and i will have it sent out from here..is that better? or can she just use my email addy to send it out..?

Read the instructions carefully - it says "signature of applicant", which would be the beneficiary. Also, like I said, you can scan it and attach it to the email format from the first post if you want to, but it doesn't really make much difference. You should send it from the beneficiary's email.

Hey everyone,

My AOS and IV fee payment now shows up as PAID.

I paid it yesterday morning and it got marked as PAID today - so that was quite fast. Amounts were deducted this morning from my checking account.

I have updated my signature.

I am putting together the packets and hope to send it out on Monday

This is really fast! Congrats!!!
