Latest steps:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!

I don't think it's a problem that men like porn (or that women do too, for that matter ;)) I think it's only a problem when watching porn starts to take the place of actual sex/time with your partner. But if you're in a LDR, I don't see any problem at all with either party watching if they want to.

Stewart really doesn't look at porn, but I wouldn't really care if he did as long as it didn't interfere with OUR life....

Do people almost never believe you when you tell them that? I haven't mentioned that my boyfriend doesn't really like porn because people will just assume I don't know about it. He doesn't hate porn, but he doesn't seek it out and it doesn't have special place in his life. :) There are actual guys out there who are just not into it...

I enjoy it a bit more, I think.

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

HAHA! Yeah a lot of the time - I mean he's never been to a strip club, he's never owned porn...He's seen it a few times because other guys he was with her watching it - but quite honestly - he just doesn't!

the "he doesn't seek it out" pretty much sums it up completely :)

C. doesn't watch porn. It's not that he doesn't find pretty actresses stimulating. Like nearly every other guy he has a thing for Scarlett Johansson and Elisha Cuthbert but he sort of finds porn to be demeaning to women and really too cheesy to be a turn-on. He's been to a strip club once for someone's bachelor party.

Plus, his sex drive's so high that it's not like he needs anything to focus it like a magnifying glass.

Ditto. I'm not really sure what answer you're looking for - it's the age ol' question. Are you telling me you NEVER watch a Hugh Jackman movie and think "whoa" or walk by a guy and smell his cologne and think he smells delicious. Or have a guy smile at you in the street and check you over and even though you're perfectly happy in your relationship and head over heels in love it brightens your day knowing someone appreciates the way you look?

Because it's all the same as looking at porn. It's being stimulated (sometimes not even in a sexual manner) by a sight, smell, touch. It doesn't mean you love your partner any less or that you don't want him. Just like it doesn't mean he doesn't want you if he looks at porn.

I don't agree with the parallel to porn watching & passing a guy who smells nice. Two different levels there completely. I do agree that in some or most relationships - especially where both parties agree on the porn issue - then it's not indicative of any problems. But if I watch a movie and am like 'whoa' cos someone's handsome....I don't think it's the same thing as me and my partner watching two or more parties act like savage animals.

This is just my opinion obviously, but I think there's a lot more to the bond of sex & lovemaking that is spiritual about it....and porn IMO devalues the whole experience. You want to experiment with new exciting things? IMO one should be looking inside one's own bedroom instead of bringing outside influences in. But again, this is my own opinion, so take it for what it is.
