Anyone from Jan/Feb received NOA2 yet?

I read a ton of stories over the last 18 months of people going from NOA1 to NOA2 in just 2-3 weeks....anyone seeing this in 2013? I'm worried that our over seas application might have gotten missed and sent into the looooong wait period. My wife and I really want to get back to the US and it's already been 35 days since package was sent.

I have never seen an approval in 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months perhaps, but that is certainly not the norm. Good luck!

From what I read, it can take 40 days from NOA1 if you both live abroad and the package was transfered to NBC.

Thanks! We are on about the same timeline as you guys, I suppose we got a bit excited from some of the faster stories we saw. I assumed 30-45 days from NOA1 to NOA2, but just saw some other EU applications that were living abroad who had their approval super fast.

Actually it has happened. I've seen a few cases and actually messaged a few. Apparently some cases were sent (I think to some office in Arkansas) because the Vermont center had too many. Most of these people were from Jan 5 to Jan 23 from what I saw.

Yup the famous auto-expedite queue. I personally think that was a random fluke from CSC when they received petitions from petitioners overseas, but others are "sure" that it happened for almost every petitioner who lived with their spouses overseas. Didn't work for us, but then again we were sent to VSC.

You and me BSD. Oooh that rhymed! :innocent: I've been told before that VSC didn't care if people lived overseas together. I'm not sure if that was just Canadians or not.

You've not only not been expedited but your petition has taken an ungodly amount of time.

To me it makes sense to expedite americans living abroad...we are still paying taxes in the US, and without letting the spouse have a visa we are essentially paying the government to be exiled.

We never did here in Denmark.

We got our NOA2 from the second petition with a NOA1 date of Feb 25th.

I'd really consider us a November filer before anyone gets jealous.
