So why is it that people insist that you can’t prove a negative? I think it is the result of two things. (1) an acknowledgement that induction is not bulletproof, airtight, and infallible, and (2) a desperate desire to keep believing whatever one believes, even if all the evidence is against it. That’s why people keep believing in alien abductions, even when flying saucers always turn out to be weather balloons, stealth jets, comets, or too much alcohol. You can’t prove a negative! You can’t prove that there are no alien abductions! Meaning: your argument against aliens is inductive, therefore not incontrovertible, and since I want to believe in aliens, I’m going to dismiss the argument no matter how overwhelming the evidence against aliens, and no matter how vanishingly small the chance of extraterrestrial abduction.

Why would your imaginary God send himself to kill himself to save us from himself when he allegedly created us himself and allegedly loves us?

God is quite clearly a liar according to the first pages of your own Bible. He claims Adam would die if he ate from the tree. He did not die. The serpent told the truth - that they would not die and would instead gain the wisdom of knowing between good and evil.

So God the liar then punishes everyone, the people he has lied to and the serpent who told the truth and was under no obligation to lie for God. This is an extremely important lesson at the outset of your Bible, instructing blind obedience to religious overlords - to not question them even when they lie to your face, and to distrust people what are obviously telling the truth. Using the fear of punishment to cow people into accepting lies over truth.

So it is no accident we see this kind of disordered thinking from you. This is one of the dangers for religion in general - producing people who cannot think rationally and are furthermore antisocial in their conduct. The one person we are observing here is YOU as a representative of Christianity, and it is certainly not something to aspire to.

Then every God ever proposed exists by the same standard: you can't prove the Greek Gods do not exist so therefore they must.

And such delicious projection once again: you are the one with faith-based beliefs. That's why they are called faiths. But it is very important to manipulative disordered thinking to project that weakness onto athiests who need evidence to believe in something.

We are not in anyone's temple, and you have proven you have no Biblical support for being such a nasty person. Over-all this thread has been an excellent demonstration of how malicious people can use Christianity as an excuse to be nasty towards others, and how illogical/disordered the thinking is to justify their nasty behavior.

The absence of something is strong evidence it does not exist, your superstition notwithstanding. You need not prove it so much as observe it, or rather, its absence.

There is as much proof and evidence there is a god, as there is evidence there are several gods, in fact; were one to follow your line of sophistry.

You see that was such a smooth lie that worked then and it keeps on working -forget what God said, you will not die and in fact you will be just like god.

How typical, a Christian that doesn't know his own Bible:

That is clearly a lie. Adam and Eve did not die. Look how you don't even know it says they will die the day they eat it. Or is it lying for Jesus, where you know what it says yet need to cover it up? Either way this is why you are no challenge intellectually.

You have to defend the scribblings of ignorant Bronze Age goat herders, and you can't manipulate your way out of what the Bible actually says. The emptiness you have is between your ears. Skeptics don't have that problem.
