USCIS-WEBSITE NEW UPDATE

sorry, by the way it was worded I only assumed it meant that application they receive will be logged within 30-45 days and that if they were approved we would know as soon as they were approved. Just thought there is some sort of system where - if approved - you need to log it into the system as the person who actually approved it. My bad.

For me there was a 1 day delay. I was notified today and the website says I was approved yesterday.

USCIS - 66 days ROC - 139 days from sent to approved
12/3/2012 - I-130 delivered to Chicago 5/20/15: mailed I-751 package to California office
12/4/2012 - NOA1 NBC (Missouri Service Center MSC) 5/22/15: Date on NOA1
12/6/2012 - Check cashed 8/26/15: Bio appointment

12/8/2012 - Received paper NOA1 10/06/15: Received Email card was being processed
12/20/2012 - Case number showed up on USCIS website
1/29/2013 - Called USCIS and case is still at NBC
2/8/2013 - Received an Email that we were approved on 2/7/13
3/5/2013 - Told file may have been "misplaced" to email NOA2 to NCVresearch
3/7/2013 - ISO at the USCIS opened a service request to try to track down
if and when the file was shipped. Should hear something before 3/26 ( so she said)

NVC - 119 days NVC to Visa in hand
03/11/2013: NVC received (31 days from NOA2 at USCIS till received at NVC )
03/25/2013: NVC Case no. assigned
03/27/2013: Paid AOS fee (shows paid 3/29/13)
04/01/2013: AOS Sent
03/27/2013: Received IV Bill
03/27/2013: Paid IV Bill (shows paid 3/29/13)
04/01/2013: Sent IV Packet
04/02/2013:IV Packet Delivered
04/16/2013: Case Complete (37 days from received to case complete)
04/16/2013: Received Case Complete Email

05/13/2013: NVC status "In Transit"

051/20/2013: NVC status "Ready"
06/24/2013: Interview date - Orange card... wanted copy of USC passport

07/08/2013: Visa received in the mail

08/03/2013: POE

maybe Goverment cut backs fewer people more hours less pay only logical explanation to me since K-1 applicants beginning just last year were getting approved after 3-4 months now its looking like 7-9 months

A test of Love looks like i will need to travel back to thailand and hangout with my TeeRak until we get approved

visit the link below..................

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

it says now..

Expect a 30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume of applications USCIS receives.

it means no one knows the exact date, that when their petition is approved, untill u wait more 30-45 days, or by calling them (USCIS), it really comes on last nerve.

At least it gives us a timelime of when to expect to see a case status for a petition as opposed entering a receipt # and coming up empty and not seeing any movement....geez USCIS

Wow, 1 month? good.gif

Congrats. Were you even ready for NVC yet? laughing.gif

I corrected my signature it was 2 mo. And Yup almost ready. I have been pushing my husband to get everything done since the start. By the time I need to send everything in I will be ready.

There are also people waiting still from last June... so it is very random.

Also would like to add that the comment on the site is really just about whether or not the online status changes. Some, like mine, never change. Mine did not even show up until the day it was approved. I think that with all the additional processing they're just not doing the updates they used to do on their site so not everyone's status will be accurate. There have been many posts about this particular item in the past in terms of case status not showing up.

This new message pertains to case updates, mainly new petitions. But it ALSO means that USCIS is very backed up generally speaking that new updates may take 1 month + to get in the system. CSC is like at 1-2 NOA2 per week on Igor's list which is seriously pathetic. Every time I think"ok this week they're gonna plow through a bunch", it remains at a standstill! Definitely makes you want to pull out your hair that our gov't does what it pleases without any accountability.

I saw this same message on the site, but I received my email notification today that my NOA1 was in the mail and my case was being sent to the CSC, so I went to the USCIS website to see if there was ANY chance that they'd have my case in there, and when I put my case number in, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had my case in there and it said pretty much what my email said.

CONSIDER URSELF LUCKY...........BEST OF LUCK FOR REST OF THE JOURNEY.

Oh, I most definitely consider myself lucky. Having been reading threads here for months in preparation for sending this off, then seeing that message on the USCIS website I was all ready to buckle down and wait for awhile before hearing a word.

I'm hoping that more people from here have similar luck and that what seems to be a near standstill lately gets cranked up and some folks who have had to wait so long already can get their applications through.

From what I've read, statistically, it seems that 90 to 95% of the applications for K1 Visas are approved eventually. I saw a statistic on a government website the other day that said in 2011, our of a little more than 25,000 applications, only about 800 were denied. I know it's of little comfort to those in the 200 and 300 day wait clubs, but it is enough to give hope and right now that's all most of us have to cling to :)
