Idk why I enjoy it. I really don't.

But I do! I guess the chance that I could receive an ebay package on my day off.

Packages will still be received on Saturday. It's regular mail that won't.

So you can still be excited about that! :)

It is amazing how non governmental postal companies like UPS and Fedex make billions of profits but the Postal Service is losing money. Yaaa for big government

UPS and Fedex are into businesses that you wouldn't believe, though. lol. They aren't just delivery.

I think UPS is famous for bragging about their solutions being "logistics." They really are. A business could outsource almost anything to them (supply chain based).

The ONLY time I ship anything via USPS (package wise) is when we go from US to Canada.

I had a small package shipped to me for only $6 but fedex wanted $25.

Then fedex also charges a delivery fee on the canadian side for $16 (#######?)

UPS can eat it because they charge you if you don't ship in a brown box.

What can brown do for you? Stop charging me because I'm not shipping a damn brown box.

The Post office allows you to send letters for 44 cents, whereas Fedex/UPS does not. Any "big government fails" argument is ridiculous. USPS loses money because it allows you to mail things cheaper than it costs because they believe it is a service that the people of the US deserve and require, and I agree with them. In fact, I am grateful for USPS.

Do you want to pay multiple dollars to send every letter like it costs for Fedex or UPS? Do you think making the minimum cost to send a letter $8 is a good solution?

Mail used to be delivered multiple times a day.

To give UPS credit, when your packages arrive abroad, it will ultimately be delivered by UPS...when you mail USPS to lets say....a lesser developed country, the USPS package falls under the mercy of the local postal service. do you trust their postal service to reliably deliver it?
