The entire waiting time for F2A is 2-3 years (from i-130 to visa issuance).

You can monitor the monthly Visa Bulletin for updates. So far, the F2A category moves 4 weeks per month. The current priority date (Philippines) being processed now is OCT 22, 2010. http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5856.html

the posts are correct . NVC is like storage for your case file until a visa number becomes available for your category ( which you knw by monitoring the visa bulletin) and then they will forward your file to the consulate and set you up for interview.

Your PRIORITY DATE: JUNE 17 2011

My father is F2A, PD: 16 May 2011, from Vietnam, but now July, I have not received Interview letters from NVC.

Keep hoping and praying. They still can send you an interview letter for August.

NVC send out interview letters from 1st to 10th of each month.

09/09/2009 met and had been happily dating for almost a year when my husband (bf at that time) won in a green card lottery. By that time he divorced from his ex-wife, and I graduated from the university and had obligatory job placement in Belarus for 2 years on.
11/19/2010 got married. In about a month he left for the US and applied for family reunification.
03/24/2011 Priority Date
04/08/2013 NOA2

06/14/2013 Case Completed
