You'll have to be more specific, please: for what?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I'm sorry about that. For some paperwork such as Engagement Certificate?
Cleared up now. :) It can depend on the specific service after a package arrives in the destination country, because sometimes private contractors make the deliveries. Quality of service can vary widely. I'll transfer your thread into the appropriate regional forum so that people who have gone before you can give you effective advice.

Edited to add: Thread moved from K-1 Process to Asia: East & Pacific regional subforum.

I wouldn't trust USPS international delivery with anything important. My husband sent me tax papers that I needed for my interview, for some reason they ended up in India!!! I lived in Sweden...the customs in India decided to keep it for 2,5 months and the papers arrived 2 days after my interview...

Yes the customs in India could have been a little faster but than again why did USPS send it to India in the first place???

Never USPS again!!

USPS international is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than any other service out there.

expect to pay minimum 100 to ship documents outside the US through FEDEX/DHL/UPS.

why USPS is cheaper. the postal service is usually a government operated service. if you send a package through the post office here, it'll end up at the post office in a foreign country that operates throughout its nation.

FEDEX and others are more expensive because they are not a ubiquitous service. if you send something overseas, FEDEX may have to intentionally drive out to the middle of nowhere where FEDEX does not operate just to drop off your package.

why your package may end up in INDIA (for example lol) whether you use USPS or FEDEX. your handwriting is terrible. (that's my assumption.)

In most of those out of the way spots, FEDEX does not make local deliveries. Those are usually done by local contractors, often less reliable than the postal service. In some countries, it doesn't hurt to pay your local postal carrier a little bit on Christmas, to make sure you get all your mail, on time, and unopened. For the Philippines, I only had a problem with the postal service one time, and I sent everything by mail. In that case, I sent something that should have been sent by certified mail, and it didn't get to it's intended recipient. No biggie, I only lost the postage and the check fee. The check was refunded back to me in 90 days.

For certainty of delivery, find the international courier that is based in that country, and use them, especially if the US Embassy uses them as well. For the Philippines, LBC seems to be the most reliable. The US Embassy uses 2GO within the Philippines as a courier.
