Does every CR-1 spouse under 25 have to sign up for a military draff??

During our long journey i came across a paper (on-line) that said my husband (he was the beneficiary from Mexico)had to sign up for military incase of a draft because he waas under 25 years of age. I cannot find that online paper and my husband has been in the united states for a month now and we have not applied...Did anybody else read about this??

Just to clarify it isn't the draft, it is selective service

oh ok..lol !! i cant remeber much about what i read... i know that wasn't the smartest thing to do when its important documetns....anywayy!! thanks again...Selective Service System then..not draft...lol

And the answer is yes... see below from the web site. When I submitted my DS-260 online I even had to click a link about selective service before being able to submit the application

If you're a male U.S. citizen, age 18 through 25, and are living INSIDE the United States or its territories, or if you have an APO/FPO address, you can register with Selective Service by filling out the form below and clicking on "Submit Registration."

If you're a male U.S. citizen, age 18 through 25, and are living OUTSIDE the United States, you can register with Selective Service by clicking here.

If you are an immigrant male (documented or undocumented) living in the United States, age 18 through 25, you are required to register. You may submit your registration to the Selective Service by filling out the form below and clicking on "Submit Registration." Non-immigrant males living in the United States on a valid visa are NOT required to register.

If you are unable to register online, or you receive an error message, you will be directed to a registration form which you may print out, complete, sign, and mail to the Selective Service System.

It is important to do so if he ever wants to become a US citizen. His naturalization application will require proof that he registered, so save the receipt/card or whatever you get. Sorry I don't know what kind of proof you get, but whatever it is, save it.
