I know someone on the forum mentioned this same thing, but I don't remember where I read it. Is anyone announcing they have an interview scheduled? I haven't noticed.....

It was probably me! I think the inconsistencies at the NVC are a disgrace. I haven't seen anyone with an interview yet but maybe someone will give a shout out if they know any different?

I guess there is still a few hours left in the day for the NVC to be working but I don't know when they close.

NVC is open from 7 A.M.(EST) to 12 MIDNIGHT (EST).

The email I got last night, the reply to my January 3rd question about case status, came at 10:14 pm Chicago time, but I am trying to read the header information (I'm not very good at that) and I see the time 4:14, so I really don't know when it was sent. My email is open and receiving until I shut my computer off at night.

Its the 2nd Friday of this month! Called NVC and no appointment scheduled yet. It must be coming next week!

Even though the NVC are open long hours the embassy's that they are scheduling interviews for are not. I know that the US Embassy in London closes at 5.30pm UK time so I'm thinking that if the two are liaising in order to schedule a date then they won't be speaking with the embassy after 5.30pm.

Unless they have already done that and are in the process of emailing out the dates?

I'm not sure though, this is just a guess.

Maybe it will run into next week too. Again, just a guess.

Maybe that's why the NVC has such long opening hours so that they can check in with the different embassy's all over the world.

I really don't know how they work out the scheduling of interviews though, and how they find out the availability of spaces.

It must take a while though considering some of the lengthy wait times people have endured. I've only had a case complete since Monday and I'm going out of my mind but I know others have waited much longer.

It's all just guess work!

Is your case on the way to the embassy? Did you check the DHL tracking? tru_loves_journey posts results just about every day. Mine left on January 9 but I haven't heard anything about an interview other than I will be notified.

Why do you think thats your case they sent? Our cases (IR1/CR1) do not get sent to the embassy until an interview is scheduled. Don't get too excited. The embassy doesn't schedule for us NVC does.

Did you call and see if you have an interview? Try also calling DOS 202-663-1225 Press 1 and than 0 for IV Unit.

Everybody stay cool Normally if I get ANY emails from NVC, it's always after 4:30p and sometimes even up until 7pm.

I saw another post mention that nobody knows anything about interviews the entire week and then BAM! -mass emails to all those scheduled go out. I'm just guessing here, but I'm thinking that after the lists are ready for the week, some chaps in the emailing dept gets a list of all these folks and they start hammering out emails. That's the scenario that seems logical to me anyways.

I'm also thinking this business with the new waiver (I-1601a) and also the holidays are backing them up some. But perhaps I'm thinking to much-
