Embassy Review : I had my interview on the 8th Feb and i got approved. Yayyyyy.
It wasn\'t as bad as i had expected. I got there for 7.45am and stood in line where a woman came and checked my interview letter and passport. She sent me through security where i placed all my paperwork and handbag to go through scanner.
After that i went into the building where i was given a number which i was told to look out for to be called. It was an \'I\' number. I finally sat down at 8am. To which they atarted calling numbers out. There are more \'N\' numbers than \'I\'. I waited for around an hour before my number was finally called to a window. There i was met by a very nice gentleman who asked me if that was my picture on the paperwork to which i said yes. He asked me a few questions on my paperwork and on my marriage then gave me a pink courier slip to fill out and told me to wait back in the waiting area for my name to be called for my 2nd interview.
So i went back and finally my name was called about an hour and half later. As i approached the window i was met by a stern looking american man. But as we conversed he was friendly and even cracked a few giggles as we joked about my pictures. He asked me about my relationship and where my husband worked. I was there for all of about 5mins when he tld me he was approving me and that i need to give the courier service my pink slip. As i thanked him he said Welcome to America.
I have never grinned so much in my life. I really thought it would have been worse than what it was.
