Hello Seniors,

Just need some advise regarding the K-1 visa. I have been approved the K-1 finance's visa at US Embassy at London. I want to travel to my home country first and than travel from my home country to USA. Do you think I can do so?

After i visit my home country I am planning a traditional marriage in my home country and than travel to States. Can someone advise me if there's any kind of risk entering to States after traditional marriage. I have heard the cases where the immigration officer can deny an entry if they find out that the marriage has already taken place.

I am bit worried now.

Please help!

Yes, there is a HUGE risk! Do NOT get married until you are in the US. Not even a traditional one or one without paperwork. Just dont' risk it. You signed documents that said you would marry in the US...so get married in the US.

As for traveling from the UK to our home country, I don't see why not, just as long as you don't conect through a US city

good luck

I agree with the previous poster- don't risk the traditional wedding (just visiting is fine as long as oyu enter the USA by the expiry date on your visa, usually 6 months). If you want a traditional wedding at home, fly to the USA first, get legally married, file for AOS and AP (travel document), then when you have that, visit the home country for a honey moon, and combine that with the traditional wedding.
