The instructions suggest submitting two so why wouldn't you? It shouldn't be hard to get two people to say they know you and that you have a legitimate relationship and sign a piece of paper. I've read where these affidavits aren't considered primary evidence because they can easily be faked but they are so easy to prepare so I'd include them.

We never sent any and were approved without a hitch. They are seen as soft evidence and if you have plenty of other evidence you won't need them.

They are not required. They are listed as a suggestion for people who don't have other good evidence of relationship. I did not send any.

I also deliberately held those, and some other "soft" evidence (such as cards to both of us) back in the event of an RFE or interview (I didn't want to send everything I had and have nothing to reply to the RFE with, or confuse them with such a large packet - which some have reported results in an RFE). My initial packet was more than enough but you never really know

uscis shouldn't get confused if you send them a large package for your ROC. the more evidence you sent them, the better it is. they shouldn't send you RFE because you had send them a large package with alot of documents.

I agree. Affidavits are not required if you have enough evidence of bona fide marriage. I didn;t submit any affidavits in my ROC package and I got approved. But if you feel you don't have enough evidence, affidavits is something you should work on.

Guys please fill in your timelines, I would love to help but I am a little confused if you are submitting AOS or ROC package... your profile says K1 visa so i am assuming you apply for the AOS now? but then again all the replies here are about ROC...

When you apply for AOS you do not need affidavits, that's as far as I am aware.
