ya, mine won't even let me process the E-Request because supposedly I'm still within normal processing times. Well anyway, I contacted my senator last week, who already did a congressional inquiry, but hasn't wrote back with an answer yet. I also emailed the director of USCIS, who forwarded my email to one of his associates. The associate wrote back to me last Friday and told me he will look into it, but hasn't wrote back to me yet.

I wonder if it's possible for a class-action lawsuit against this BS. We paid good money for this, and it's also affecting our personal lives.

I think a class action suit sounds good!

tony1234, how did you manage to do an E-Request? I've tried it on the USCIS website, and it keeps telling me that I'm still within "normal processing times", even though my date is May 17th and they're claiming 5 months for Vermont.

I tried that many times too but it didn't work out.It stated the same thing as you.Waste of time. You have to call and ask for e-request,the officer will do it for you because they claiming 5 months, you passed 6 months.Good luck

Hi everybody,

I also filled for a I-130 for my husband on the 4th of June and haven't heard back yet. I called yesterday and they told me that even though i'm out of the processing times (the 5 months that are stated on the uscis website) they can't file an e-request for me because the VCS is backed up by about 25 days :( They told me to try again towards the end of December. Hopefully, we'll have an answer soon...Good luck everybody!

So I checked the VSC processing time on the web site. They have actually change the processing time for the I-130 insted of 5 months it now reads May 21, 2012. This is horrible, I just filed last weekend with hopes that things would move along rather quickly like it did for my brother and some of my friends. Their loved ones where here in less then 6 months. I am so depressed. We have a 9 month old baby together and its so hard on the baby, he needs his father. My husband is missing all the prescious moments of having a baby. :crying::crying::angry::(

Your file will go to NBC and/or a local field office. So it reduces your waiting time

You are right! I checked it out and now it does say 21st of May...So now no one can complain that they're out of the normal processing times! Well I wonder how long it's going to take before they're done with the 4th of June applications...Hopefully not longer than a month. Good luck to you!

Also as of October 30, the average processing times for I-130 US citizen filing for spouse, parent or child under 21, has been updated to 5.4 months, according to the USCIS website.
