Hello everyone,

Sa NBI clearance ba for Travel abroad or US Visa? ANong NBI ang finile nyo? Help me.

Ang schedule ng interview ko Jan 17, 2013, is it advisable na mag pa medical or sa January ko na gawin or kelan ba ang dapat?

Gaano katagal marereceive ang ITR kung kababayad lang last week (affidavit of support) - reason kya ako nag reschedule kasi worried ako na baka di ko mareceive yung affidavit of support on time.

Kailangan ba ang copies ng passport ng petitioner? Aside from ITR ano pa ang kailangan nya isend?

Thanks in advance.

NBI for travel abroad

if you already have your appointment letter, and manila case number.. (obviously u have because u already have ur interview schedule  ) you can have your medical at st. Lukes already.

check the IRS website about sa ITR. alam ko free ung ITR. :o tapos if after mo pagrequest sa IRS, 5-10 working days lang marerecieve mo na.

Hello everyone,

Sa NBI clearance ba for Travel abroad or US Visa? ANong NBI ang finile nyo? Help me. Get the Green NBI clearance, that's the one for travel abroad. For purpose, you can put "For US Visa Application".

Ang schedule ng interview ko Jan 17, 2013, is it advisable na mag pa medical or sa January ko na gawin or kelan ba ang dapat? As soon as you have your interview appointment letter, you can proceed to St. Luke's for the medical. http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml

Gaano katagal marereceive ang ITR kung kababayad lang last week (affidavit of support) - reason kya ako nag reschedule kasi worried ako na baka di ko mareceive yung affidavit of support on time. I'm kinda confused with this part. Did your fiancee send his ITR and W2 to you via snail mail? During the interview, the consul will ask for the petitioner's latest ITR and W2.

Kailangan ba ang copies ng passport ng petitioner? Aside from ITR ano pa ang kailangan nya isend? Its better to have a copy. Just ask your fiancee to scan his passport, email it to you, so you can just print it out.

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,

Sa NBI clearance ba for Travel abroad or US Visa? ANong NBI ang finile nyo? Help me. Green sheet or form, US visa application as purpose.

Ang schedule ng interview ko Jan 17, 2013, is it advisable na mag pa medical or sa January ko na gawin or kelan ba ang dapat? Give it at least 2 weeks, leave you enough cushion in case you'll encounter some issues.

Gaano katagal marereceive ang ITR kung kababayad lang last week (affidavit of support) - reason kya ako nag reschedule kasi worried ako na baka di ko mareceive yung affidavit of support on time. Order your ITR online here https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof-tra/start.do . You could order as much as you want, I've ordered the last 3 years and got them within a week.

Kailangan ba ang copies ng passport ng petitioner? Aside from ITR ano pa ang kailangan nya isend? Copies of petitioner's passport or Birth Certificate is not needed at the interview but you'll need it for CFO. You'll need the petitioner's Letter of Employment.

Thanks in advance.

I wonder if this was because you were leaving on a spouse visa (immigrant visa) rather than a K-1 which is considered a nonimmigrant visa.

Here's what the U.S. Embassy Manila says about NBI clearances for K-1'ers:

NBI CLEARANCE. Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name and any aliases or nicknames used, including different spellings you have used of those names. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued. The NBI website is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

FYI, there are two kinds of NBI clearances:

YELLOW - For local employment.

GREEN - For travel abroad.

Since we are moving/going/traveling to the US, we should submit the green NBI clearance.

The green NBI clearance is also the one used when applying/renewing our passports.

This is what the USEM website says for immigrant visas -

4. NBI CLEARANCE: Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name, married name, and any aliases or nicknames ever used, including different spellings of all names ever used. An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of “No criminal record”, or "No pending case”. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is considered valid only for one year from the date it is issued. You may contact NBI at (632) 523-82-31 to 38. The NBI website is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

Is this outdated information? Has anyone who has recently been interviewed submitted an NBI for travel abroad and it was accepted?
