Getting Worried Now!

Our NOA1 came through on the 29th October but I still cant find it on the USCIS website!

I have triple checked the receipt number which is 100% correct but no matter how I try and search it...nothing!

My fiance has already spoken to the USCIS through their military line as he is currently serving in Afghanistan but even they couldn't find it at the beginning!! I will be skyping him later as he mentioned in a text about an email that should be arriving on the 25th (very specific!) of this month but I am unsure why this case number doesn't exist! On the USCIS website all I get is...

Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

or when trying to add the case to my profile...

Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

Customer Portfolio Insert Failed

Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the application receipt number.

We have recieved the NOA1 so why cant I find my case!!!!!

relax sometimes it take some time to add the case online. that piece of paper in your hand is alot more valuable than seeing your case on USCIS website.

I know I should probably relax but it just concerned me that it still wasn't added and the USCIS couldn't find it either :(

Somebody just failed to enter it. Think of this scenario....the worker issuing your Receipt (NOA1) had a co-worker say "let's go to lunch". So he left for lunch without putting your number in the computer for online case status. When he got back, he thought he was done with you and closed your paper folder and put it in the out box. He forgot a step. It doesn't mean you have no active case, but only a careless worker. It may never get fixed or maybe you can scream and shout at somebody until they manually go in and enter your number.

When my husband's greencard got approved (Adjustment of Status from K1) the adjudicator was supposed to update online status to approval. He didn't and we received no notification or online change to approved. My husband got a greencard surprise in the mail is how we knew it was approved. Over a year later we got the approval email. I guess somebody was doing some clean up of old cases not approved and realized it was actually already approved and they changed the status. Maybe the next time there is movement in your case, the worker looking at your paper file will realize it never got entered by the previous worker and will fix it. I'm just guessing that's what happens when the case status eventually turns up a month or more later.

Ours is not showing up for the ROC either, guess they are behind, at least we have numbers.

Big dog--- the NOA number for ROC never works. When you get the biometrics letter, there will be a new case number on it that works.

I filed my K-1 application in the beginning of October as well, and I still do not see my case online, i receive the same memo as you.. stating that my case # cannot be found. I hope that they do something soon, i know having the physical reciept in my hand is more important but I like to have the reassurance on the website as well. I think that the process would be quicker online, but I guess this is just to test our patience... Hopefully after the holidays things will more alittle quicker, happy journey ;)
