How do you manage to distort it? Protect yourselves? Get real. WE know how to protect our allies but you don't know %@$. You have a history of inability to protect yourselves going back for thousands of years. Just sayin'. Not a history buff are ya? LOL

We lose 25000 a year in our country to random murders and we still don't need to run and hide in security rooms. Since 9/11 for instance there have been 5000 deaths in Chicago alone. Guess you'd never leave your house huh.

With this in mind I would prefer, from you, a simple "thank you and God Bless America" (and some peace and quiet) while we reflect on the value of paying you to routinely pound on unarmed, raggedy, impoverished villagers. From over here I am thinking that maybe this investment is a bust but that's just me. I dont like leeches here and I dont like leeches over there and your talk of "protecting yourself" is more like a funny joke than distorted truth.

Reporting from Haifa, Israel — The bulldozer driver who crushed to death American activist Rachel Corrie seven years ago struggled Thursday just to recall her name.

"It's Rachel-something," he testified in a Haifa courtroom. "Carrie?"

The former Israeli reservist's courtroom appearance, his first public comments since the college student's 2003 death, was expected to be the dramatic climax of the Corrie family's long-running civil lawsuit against the Israeli government. But during more than four hours of testimony, the 38-year-old Russian immigrant, speaking from behind a screen to hide his identity, said he remembered little about that day and the young woman he ran over.

In Texas if we want unarmed women moved we can by god get them and move them. We don't have run them over with construction equipment to do it and we don't talk about how brave or heroic people who kill helpless unarmed people are either

Wow, how do you guys manage to distort the truth so much? It's a born talent I tell you. I guess we should apologize for knowing how to protect ourselves. Maybe if people didn't have to run many times in a day and hide in a security room, if we didn't spend a ton of money on Iron Dome, etc etc and we would have had hundreds of deaths, then you would have been ok with it? Of course not, but right now it's convenient. Really sorry we don't like to get killed. You know, this is the type of response I'd fully expect(and have gotten many times in the past) from brainwashed people living in Gaza or other Arab territories where the media only tells them what they want to hear. Not from one living in the states(then again...I guess you don't watch FOX News).

You're funny. Just from your disrespectful reply(unlike mine) I can tell you're frustrated so I'll only comment about the points worth my time. The rest well...have fun with it.

I guess if you can't tell the difference between a war situation, and rockets falling out of the sky on you daily, to murders, as random as they may be, there's really not alot to ration about with you. And that's ok. I'm quite used to it. Oh yeah, my wife happens to be from Milwaukee which is not a low crime place. Just sayin.

You - are never going to get any thank you from me. My thank yous to the country - that's a different story. Anyone that should know knows how much respect I have for the US and well at least according to my wife I'm alot more of an American(even though I'm not even one yet) than any one person such as yourself, which I think are a disgrace to such a nation. Just sayin.

It's already been proven that the driver of the bulldozer had no way of seeing her, on top of the fact that that group was there for nothing but provocation, any time the bulldozer moved away from them they got in its way on purpose, as if they were wishing to die, just like their Palestinian human shield buddies. Just saying.

Oh, and btw, I'm pretty sure I know history a hell of a whole lot better than you. No, actually I'm confident I do. Just saying.

If you preface a response by saying you're not going to be disrespectful, it would seem a little more credible if you avoid statements like those above.

For one I was referring to my comments before - I always do my best to keep things civil and then a clown like them comes along which is what they always do being they do not actually have any valid points.

Having said that, I still think even my last comment was a whole lot more respectful than theirs. I really don't see where what I said was disrespectful. Some Gaza rockets stripped of explosives to fly further: Israelis

By Dan Williams | Reuters – 1 hr 38 mins ago

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Some of the Palestinian rockets fired far into Israel during the Gaza flare-up have lacked powerful warheads because they were stripped down to increase range and spread alarm over a wider population, Israeli security sources said on Sunday

.

"Our assessment is that the prestige of setting off alarms deep in Israel, and being perceived as fighting on, is as important to them now as spilling our blood," said an Israeli official briefed on security cabinet decisions.

The official and two other sources who spoke to Reuters on the matter did not specify how many of the almost 900 rockets and mortars fired since fighting erupted on Wednesday had been deliberately sapped.

The official said "not a few" of the rockets reaching Tel Aviv and cities closer to Gaza were designed for much shorter ranges but had been shorn of their weighty warheads so that they flew further.

"They're pipes, basically," said the official, who declined to be identified.

Hamas, the militant Islamist movement governing Gaza, had no immediate comment. The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), another outgunned Palestinian faction taking part in the five days of clashes, dismissed the Israeli allegations.

"Israeli leaders are trying to assure their terrified public that those rockets are not dangerous, to minimize their fear. They will never succeed, and time will tell they lied to their people," PRC spokesman Abu Mujahed said.

Israeli air force and artillery strikes on Gaza, a small, densely populated enclave, have killed some 56 Palestinians, most of them civilians. Palestinian rockets have killed three civilians and wounded dozens of others in Israel since Wednesday, driving entire populations into bomb shelters.

Tel Aviv has become a target from the air for the first time since 1991, when Saddam Hussein's Iraq fired Scud missiles at Israel's biggest city. A rocket also crashed near Jerusalem for the first time in four decades.

BOOSTERISM?

The enemies have hotly disputed the condition of Gaza's most potent rockets, with Israel saying its air force has destroyed the bulk of them on the ground and the Palestinians insisting they were continuing to strike at the heart of the Jewish state.

For the fourth time in as many days, rockets were launched at Tel Aviv, some 70 km (44 miles) from Gaza, on Sunday. The salvo, claimed by Hamas, set off sirens in Israel's coastal commercial hub and suburbs. The Iron Dome interceptor shot down two rockets.

A third source who receives regular briefings from Israel's air defense corps said some of the furthest-reaching Palestinian rockets had warheads that were lighter than they were designed to have.

"Yes, this was to increase range, but we have no indication of rockets without warheads being used," the third source said.

Israel's military and police declined comment.

The discrepancy between the Israeli disclosures could be due to the difficulty of studying rocket debris left over from Iron Dome interceptions, or the possibility that not all of the sources were privy to intelligence data on Palestinian tactics.

Hamas said the rockets it has fired at Tel Aviv were Iranian-designed Fajr-5s, with ranges of 75 km (46 miles) and 175 kg (385 lb) warheads that can shear through buildings.

But there has been no word of direct impacts in Tel Aviv. The rockets were either blown out of the sky by Iron Dome or, according to some witnesses, fell harmlessly into the sea.

If any did land in unpopulated areas, the locations were not disclosed by Israeli authorities, in order to deprive the rocket crews of any information that could help them adjust their aim. Iron Dome is designed to intercept any rocket or mortar on course to hit a populated area.

Hamas also launched, on Friday, a rocket that it dubbed a homemade "Qassam M-75" at Jerusalem, which has no Iron Dome shield. That launch set off sirens throughout the holy city and some witnesses reported hearing an explosion to the south.

Police have not published extensive details on the incident.

Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

We've paid for the R&D, the implementation, but are unable to share in the profits. It's a common scenario, shared not only by Israeli companies, but by American companies that also use American tax dollars to develop profit making products. If Americans would pay less attention to Kim Kardashian and more to the US budgetary system, this would be a different country with less dependent allies.

Israel has put into the development and the first two batteries 200 million dollars of its own money. Afterwards, the Americans invested about another billion dollars, and just today Israel's defence minister requested from the Israeli government another 200 million dollars. So it's not as much as the US, but still a huge investment. And if you think Israel and the US do not share many technologies - including this one, some that Israel develops, some that America develops, some Israel buys from the states, some the states buys from Israel, you are mistaken. It is what allies do and Israel is one of the best allies the US has around the world, an ally that gives and doesn't only take, an ally that has strategic importance.

The US gave Egypt $1.5 billion dollars last year and got nothing out of it. The US also helped fund Libya just so that we could get our consulate attacked by Muslim extremist.

Yeah I know and that's kind of my point. Israel is a true ally. It gives and takes. Others only take. We share technologies, intelligence, military knowledge and strategies(for instance Israel's experience with urban area battles has helped the US alot in Iraq and Afghanistan and there's Marines training in Israel all the time). It's a mutual beneficial relationship.

Israel shoots down Hamas rockets fired at Tel Aviv

Reuters – 1 hr 43 mins ago

TEL AVIV (Reuters) - Israel's "Iron Dome" interceptor system shot down two incoming rockets from the Gaza Strip on Sunday night and no casualties or damage was reported, a police spokesman said.

Hamas, Gaza's Islamist rulers, claimed responsibility for firing at the city.

It was the second strike on Israel's commercial capital on Sunday. In the earlier attack, one person was hurt by falling debris from a rocket that was intercepted south of the city.

Clown? Hardly

Isreal lost 12 people this year in "war". That's a couple of weekends in downtown Houston. We don't bulldoze the nearby neighborhoods over it, or cut off water over it, or cut off medical supplies over it, or cut off power over it either. In fact we don't lump everyone who lives around the crime as involved and then pound them and their families senseless over it either.

NOTE: Those people in Gaza must be some real bada$$es huh?

Do you know why we don't do that? Study on this and you will discover what America is and what America is about. It IS what commies do and it IS what nazis do and it IS what other really bad people do but it is not what we do.

Let's get to that issue of clown talk:

It's already been proven that the driver of the bulldozer had no way of seeing her THEN (in the next sentence) any time the bulldozer moved away from them they got in its way on purpose

Only a clown would tell a story about bulldozers moving away from people they had no way of seeing and only an idiot would say "OK" then swallow that story. I'm not an idiot therefore.....make your own conclusion. That story actually sounds like and sorta LOOKS like IDF doesn't have the balls to get up, take down, and remove peaceful unarmed protestors like any bubba deputy in any bubba county is expected to do. Just sayin'

Lets just agree that there is so little regard for human rights over there in that area that a peaceful, unarmed protest is viewed as "people who are wishing to die" (?more clown words? LOL) and leave it at that eh sport? You are not the worst we have done business with LOL

For one I was referring to my comments before - I always do my best to keep things civil and then a clown like them comes along which is what they always do being they do not actually have any valid points.

Having said that, I still think even my last comment was a whole lot more respectful than theirs. I really don't see where what I said was disrespectful. Wow, your logic really is flawed. At the moment, at the time that she specifically was hit, she was standing where she was not seen. DUH. This is not rocket science. Really. I thought it was very clear.

NEXT because you're really starting to bore me...I know alot more about America and what America is about than you do, that's for damn sure. Like I said people like you are a disgrace and I stand behind that comment and it's really sad to see...then again it could be worse, I have some conservative friends who think that anyone who voted for Obama is a traitor...so I guess I'm being gentle.
