 UGH... Really am starting to think that the people who answer the phones at the USCIS are just worthless.. I mean really what do they do besides read off a script and look up our case the same way we would online... Sorry I am venting... I am one of the I130 People who can't see anything online and when trying to get some answers... nothing.. Thanks for listening to my vent and everyone have a great day and wish the best for all of you...

Most of us have been waiting 6 months or more, unless you expedited your case you won't be hearing anything anytime soon.

The call center won't do anything for you at this point , its very early in the process to be calling them for updates.

That's true! Even worse, try escalating your call to one of the higher level officers and you will get erroneous and misleading responses. Call the next day and talk to a different high level manager and he/she will tell you something completely different from his/her colleague. Calling them is a complete waste of time and energy. Another loophole for our tax dollars!

Destiny I really feel for you.. I am getting towards the 7 months for K1 at VSC. OP - When the time comes you should ask to speak to tier 2.. as others said the people who answer will always give generic answers. I have had luck with tier 2 communication wise but I am still waiting for a response to my inquiry... "should hear something of why my case isn't approved yet by nov 24 "

Yes, I have spoken to many different tier 2 managers, and every time I get a totally different answer. Last Thursday one lady told me that my wife has been assigned an A# and she should get approved soon!!! I called the new day and I spoke with a gentleman who said A# means nothing but I should hear something from VSC in a few days.

Thanks for your concern JE!

The OP is not talking about the wait. The problem is that everybody that is currently filing the I130 from October on is receiving a case number for the NBC and when you put it in to check the case status it does not work.
