To All the May Filers and my VJ family,

I just checked the USCIS site a half-hour ago and saw this:

On November 2, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I haven't heard sweeter words in months. I've been staying with my fiancee and her family in Karachi for the past 3+ months and was seriously beginning to miss home, even to the point that I was contemplating returning early to Atlanta, but this news finally arrived. I still can't believe it, it's almost 1 a.m. here in Karachi and I'm afraid that I might wake up from a dream. Thanks for all the kind words of support and advice that some of y'all have been giving me, they've really helped me get through these times.

Now the joy of dealing with the NVC and waiting for an interview date starts. I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers and thoughts and y'all please do the same. Let's hope we can all be with our loved ones as soon as possible. Good night and Good luck.

BTW: what happens next? What am I supposed to do now? I'm too overjoyed right now, but I do realize that there are a few more hurdles to clear. Any advice for me will be highly appreciated.

Congratulations. You will have to collect pay-stubbs, tax-returns etc and fill out the affidavit of support. You will also have to write an new letter of intent. Your fiancee has to do the rest herself. Good luck with your journey!

No sir,

It was almost 6 months from the day I applied. I've been here the past 3 months, spending quality time with my fiancee. But as of right now, Vermont Service Center is definitely speeding up with the application processing.
