Sorry, I am confused. Help me out?

You do a paper submittal into NVC or an electronic submittal into NVC?

If electronic, NVC schedules the interview for GUZ IV, usually within 5 days of the 'final review' complete timetick, for 20 to 30 days in the future.

If paper, GUZ IV schedules the interview AFTER the physical casefile arrives in GUZ IV. It'll get scheduled within 3 weeks of GUZ IV opening the casefile, a letter is sent, for 20 to 45 days in the future.

So, what's what? Electronic Processing or no ?

02/08/13 visas arrived at home ( that was fast. 3 days through ems. Right before Chinese new year )

02/16/13. Coming to u.s.a!!!!!! Yeah.

Saylin and experts of this wonderful forum. Do you guys have an idea of how long it may take to be schedule for my wife to be schedule for an interview in Ghana? I am awaiting the DS-3032 to be accepted and then go on and pay IV bill.

The interview is only scheduled after a case complete. As for time frames between case complete and interview scheduled, it varies by country. So you need to do your own research. They don't work around the clock. Just because you received an email at 1am does NOT mean it was generated at 1am. I remember I received my interview email around 5am on Saturday, even though my interview was scheduled the day before.

Is the petitioner's marriage certificate absolutely required for the IR-5 visa case? I don't understand while it is necessary while the applicant is a petitioner's mother!!! Is there anyone here who has a similar situation? I heard that some US embassies do not require it.

Yes, it's required. Why? I don't know. But it is. You can not send it, but you'll get a checklist for it. Doesn't matter if the US embassy doesn't require it, NVC does. Make sure you include ALL marriage certificates (if you've been married in the past) as well as the birth certificate as these are requirements for IR-5 visas.
