Hello again, It's been a while and I've come to the place where I get help everytime! I require some information and direction on the I-485 Application to Adjust to Permanent Status. I received notification on March 30th, from USCIS that my case was being transferred to the California Service Centre for faster processing. (my interview was in Montreal and case processed from there). Note: I had already applied separately for the Work Authorization and Travel card (both which I received end of April). I have checked the USCIS website and the status in is Review. I am unable to find the 'processing times' for Adjustment to Permanent status for those applications sent to the California Service Centre. The NOA I received says you may call the customer service phone number for a status update once it's past the stated processing times so if anyone can direct me to that I'd appreciate it. If anyone else can offer any suggestions or information relevant to your own related case I would appreciate that as well! Thanks everyone. :)

Hello Peguin - I haven't been on in a while but please help me locate my topic now? Why did you say it's not applicable where I posted it? I just need some direction butnow I'm unable to find the topic I posted and thought it was totally relevant in the Canada forum - why did you think not and move it?

Your topic was moved to the "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" forum. Your topic is here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/396835-question-on-application-to-adjust-to-permanent-resident/ (you can find it by clicking on your name in the topc right corner, and selecting "My content" from the drop down menu.

The reason it was moved is because this qn is about AOS, not about something to do with Canada, and not something that only Canadian people will know the answer to. You'll get more answers in the AOS forum.

You replied in your topic, so you know where it is :) Vanessa's answer is correct- only country specific questions or general chit chat should go into the Regional forums.

The CSC got very backlogged and it has been taking quite a few months(even close to a year) to get approvals from there. So backlogged that they stopped doing transfers to there in August.

This is the thread for those that filed AOS in March: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/357534-march-aos-2012/

This is the progress forum. It has quite a few posts about CSC transfers: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/131-adjustment-of-status-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

You can call USCIS and let them know it has been 7 months since you filed. You may be able to put in a service request. Some people have also contacted their state representatives for help in finally getting their green cards approved.
