Can someone tell me what's the purpose of the K2 interview?

Note: K1 is already here in the states.

That's correct. However, depending on age, there may not be an actual interview. What you need is the procedure for follow to join for the specific country. Best to post your questions in the K1 forum.

I believe since she is a minor, there will not be so much integration done, Maybe they may ask the mother if accompany the day of a few basic questions, That maybe the child can't answer....

@ GodsGift225 - thanks we're also thinking the same thing since she will be going with her mother since my husband and I cannot attend the interview.

Depends on the age but usually it's nothing more than if they know the petitioner and/or if they wish to come to the USA.

My daughter was 14 at the time of her interview. They asked three questions.

1. What is your name?

2. When is your birthday?

3. They held up a picture of me and asked who is this?

Even if the child is older, my stepson was 20 at the time, the interview is usually brief and painless, as they do not have to "prove" anything except the relationship to the mother, and they are not a criminal.
