Succesful AOS Interview 2-28-06 in Newark

OH MY God, Can I just tell you how relieved I am. It was such a breeze...I can cry when I think how nervous I was. Anyway, my interview was at 9:30 a.m, I arrived at 8:30 and waited in line for around 30 minutes in the freezing cold. We get up to the 13th floor around 9:10, show our ID and interview letter and wait for another half an hour. Finally a young guy with a funny accent calls us to door 1 where we follow him to his cubicle. He swore us in and asked for our ID's, verified our address and phone number. He then asked me the normal questions...terrorrist...commmunist etc. Asked me what age i entered the country and if I had ever left the country. He then took our joint documents, our co sponsor's documents , asked if we had any photos, he flipped through them and asked permission to keep a few, about 5 or 6. He then said he had no choice but to approve us and began stamping away. I felt like peeing myself I was so happy. All that nerves for nothing. I had so much stuff that he didn't look at, even when I gave him my co sponsor documents he just placed it in my folder and didn't go through it at all. All in all it was a really great experience, I was nervous for no reason. The entire experience has been smooth sailing. Good luck to those still waiting.

09.10.2009......Medical Exam

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter

12.24.2009......10 year Greencard received in the mail

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Thank you all. I think the officer was a little flabbergasted, he seemed nervous and very overwhelmed with all the evidence that I had. I guess that's a pro.

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)
