I just got one, too, and thought exactly the same thing since my case was supposedly completed on 10/3. Gotta love the NVC. :P

I'll ask you the same question, did you email NVC at any point asking for a status update on your case?

Nope - I've never emailed them about anything. I've only called and they've never emailed me anything after a call so far.

NOA2 was received in mail on 09/28/2012.

Did not call NVC but emailed them (from the petitioner's email address) on 10/09/2012 and got a reply on 10/10/2012 with two emails. One was addressed to the petitioner and one was for the beneficiary. The mails included DS-3032 Choice of Agent form, NVC Case number, IIN and BIN. Is it normal to receive all this to the petitioner's email address without having to call NVC and giving them both email IDs (petitioner's and beneficiary's)?

Anyway, have sent an email to NVC from the beneficiary's email address declaring the petitioner as agent of choice. Will I receive any confirmation if accepted?

Question: Do I need to wait for NVC to ask for Police Clearance Certificate in a checklist or can I send them an email requesting a letter from them stating that they need that certificate? (I have lived in Singapore for 6 years and Singapore Police Force requires a letter from respective authority stating the purpose of request and by whom the request has been made).

First off, you can disregard the BIN you received. That's only needed for cases doing online forms, something you're not eligible for.

And yes, if you email them first from the petitioner's email address, then they'll have that email address on file and can email the petitioner with information. But, they may not have the beneficiary's email address (unless you included it in that initial email), so I suggest calling them up and making sure they have it on file.

Yes, you should receive a response in 1-2 weeks with their decision on your DS-3032.

You can try emailing them asking for the request, otherwise, you'll have to wait for the checklist.

No, here's the email:

Weirdddd. That's exactly the same as EP case complete emails. I know NVC emails the case complete to non-EP folk if they first email them with an inquiry on their case. But since you and the other VJ member didn't, dunno what they're up to.

Called the NVC and they said they are in the middle of scheduling for Nov right now - we all know the reality but basically they weren't able to say anything more.

Technically no. Only those in the EP program get the case complete email, or if you send an email inquiry to NVC, then they sometimes email the case complete email to you.

What just happened though to the 2 VJ members is an anomaly...

Oooh ohh I know what NVC is busy doing and why there is a delay in scheduling San Sal / Vietnam.... BECAUSE THEY'RE TOO BUSY A.) BEING RUDE TO CALLERS AND B.) SENDING CASE COMPLETE LETTERS TO PEOPLE WHO AREN'T SIGNED UP FOR EP.
