thank you guys please pray for me

At least you know they are finally looking at your petition! Just follow the RFE instructions explicitly and make sure to put the colored RFE paper on the top of the pile you send (but make a copy of it for your records). This is because they get so much correspondence every day they want to know immediately when they open your envelope what its for so they can direct it properly. Prayin' for you!

It depends on what kind of evidence you are required to provide.

Our was only a petitioner's passport size of photo.

And my husband sent it out by a registered mail not express post. :bonk:

So, it took a few days to arrive then 1 week was for reviewing.

1 more week to approve our I130. It wasted us almost 1 month time.

Good luck!

Once they receive your paperwork, they may process it very quickly. I had an RFE for more evidence of bonafide marriage. They received mine on Aug 26th and had processed it and sent me a message that it was approved on Aug 27th. I had been waiting 7 months to hear from them before the sent me the RFE. Mine went through California. I pray yours goes through quickly as well.

Why does it take USCIS so long just to send RFE for I-130?

I thought the I-130 processing time is currently five months.

I am curious since my wife and I plan to submit our I-130 next year (knowing that it should take 5 months-give or take).

However, if it takes a year, then we may need to submit sooner.

Became LPR:

10/28/2008
