Dear visa journers,my wife and i are going to cancel our process,becuase all the people we asked to help us,are liers,and dont want us to be together,now she is moving to Morocco and live with me,my question is,what is the process to get my wife a Moroccan resident card,and how long it takes,what papers we will need,and where we can start.our perspose is to be together,is there anybody had the same thing.we are doing this solution because if there is an application to get a visa to Paradise,it wont take that long and wont be noisy.thank you for your helps.

Yes this website has been a great help to us. That is not the problem. The problem is finding someone to help with the affidavit of support. My friend said they would do it but they have had everything they have needed for a month now and are in no hurry to send the papers to me. Time is running out and we are tired of asking everyday if they are going to send me the papers needed for the affidavit of support. All we want is to be together and don't care if it is here in the USA or in Morocco. All that is important is being together.

why are you trying to cancel your application??????? Talk to someone in family who may be able to help you out for AOS. Don't just give up so easily. Life is not always simple but you have to fight to get your way out. Good luck

You're at the wrong website for that type of question. This website is used for immigrating TO the USA. Not emigrating FROM the USA. Good luck, though.

If it was me I would not cancel my visa and try everything to be together in the country of both your choice...but I sincerely understand your situation very well.

do not know how accurate or current it is but it does cover a lot needed in Morocco

RESIDENCE PROCEDURES: If you intend to establish residence within 15 days of your arrival, you must apply for an alien registration card (Carte d'immatriculation/Carte de Sejour) at the Foreigner's Office (Service des Etrangers) in the Police Station or Gendarmerie Royale in the village where you will reside. The alien registration card is granted by the National Police (Surete Nationale) in Rabat. Processing time for residence permits varies widely and largely depends on how actively one follows up on his/her application. When it is issued, the card is valid for ten years. For those Americans expecting to reside in Morocco for an extended period of time, it is recommended that they apply for a residence permit. The following is a list of documents required in support of a residence application:

Provide evidence of your means of livelihood or source of income (pension, annuity, social security, trust funds, bank statements, etc.).

If you will be employed in Morocco, submit a contract signed by your employer and approved by the Ministry of Labor in Rabat.

If you are self-employed or a professional, obtain and submit a work authorization from the Secretary General of the Government of Morocco.

Valid passport (if your U.S. passport is due to expire in 12 months or less, we suggest that you renew your passport before making application for the residence permit).

Aids tests are mandatory for all persons (age 15 to 60) wishing to reside in Morocco. The Aids test must be conducted in Morocco at a facility approved by the Moroccan Ministry of Health. A residence permit will not be issued until the absence of the HIV virus has been determined.

Three application forms for a residence permit, which are available through Moroccan immigration offices.

Six recent photos.

*

Fee of 1000 dirhams.

Actually, there are members here in the MENA forum who have gotten residency in Morocco, and they could be of great assistance. So, not the wrong website, just in the wrong forum - which has been addressed, thank you TBoneTX

In order for your wife to get a carte de sejour, you will need your marriage documents, a source of income, and the fee is roughly $100. Go to the police station in your town, and inquire about the carte de sejour. The police are who issue it and renew it. You should be able to get it for 18 months at a time. All of this must be done within 15 days of her arrival to Morocco. Good luck.
