Do they really send Email/text confirmations?

Hello guys,

Do they really send email and text confirmations when you are approved? I am obsessed with checking the USCIS website and feel like i need to stop it, but I want to know as soon as it is approved and I am worried that maybe they won't send the email/text notification. Are there people out there who got approved but did not get an email/text confirmation from USCIS?

Yes, they really do, but they are not that reliable. If you are in the system for getting texts, you have a good chance of getting the notification, but there is also a good chance the online and text-sending software doesn't update, even when you are approved. You will get a letter in the mail, no matter what.

AOS for my husband

ROC:

As long as you sign up with the USCIS website and provide an email/cell number and change your preference so that you receive the aforementioned communications, they will send you and update when your case is approved/denied/RFE. There have been a few people who have reported they didn't get the email or text upon approval, but many people do get the update when it happens.

They do really send updates to you. I signed up for both email and text notifications on the USCIS website. For the NOA1 I received a notice via both email and SMS. For our I-130 approval I received a "case updated" text message and was able to see immediately online that the petition had been approved. However, I never got the email notification for the NOA2, so I suppose it is a bit hit-and-miss. I was still checking the website obsessively (which is completely normal for a person going through the anxiety of this process) but the notifications are great if they update at oddball hours. I got the SMS notification at 9:30 on a Friday night and boy did that improve my weekend!

For some reason I'm not receiving any email notifications. I've verified that I'm signed up to receive both emails and text messages. I got 6 text messages in the past 5 days but no emails. I've also tried changing my email to a different email address. Still nothing. Talking about status btw. The first message I got was that my Green card was printed. Today the last status showed it went back to the Decision phase and that I need to verify my address.

We received our NOA2 last week and did NOT get any update via e-mail or text, despite having signed up for it. Another girl I talked to who got her NOA2 the same day as me said she wasn't notified either.

Hvala puno.
