..well,age is just a number!

as long as you love each other and you have complete or lots of proofs about your relationship then nothing to worry about age difference

The point was made absoluetly correctly, and consicely, and especially based on what we've heard on these forums. I remember a Mumbai interviewee that was basically shamed at the Embassy due to lack of preparration for this specific question.

Just because you prefer to go through life with rose colored glasses doesn't mean that respondees have to cater to you, as long as they stay within TOS.

gowon, i don't know where you're coming from with this rose colored glasses #######. it is rude to say to a woman, you're to old to have children. peter pan's point was that the consulate was going to view her age as an issue concerning having children together. i completely agree with that point. so while your opinion of my opinion is noted, please understand that my only issue with the "you're too old to have children" was the delivery, not the sentiment.

Fab as you may be, you cant have kids anymore and that will be a MAJOR red flag.

My god how informative that was , the enlgish translation was excellent. I am half middle eastern and half american and I know the children issue is huge. we dont have an answer for this one. Just sad really as I would love to have his baby.

you don't know that. plenty of women have given birth at the age of 45 and after. i understand the point you were trying to make, but you didn't make it correctly.

op - it is possible that the embassy will question your fiance's motives, considering that culturally speaking it is important that males are capable of having children with their wives. but this is only one potential part of the age difference issues that face MENA couples..they are obstacles that can be overcome with substantial evidence of a committed relationship such as multiple visits.

we have three visits and i am planning another before the end of the year. I dont know what we will do if this is denied, its so painful being apart and living by messenger , emails and the phone... traveling is so expensive and hard with my work schedule.. but even harder to be separated for so long. Its been seven months and I am just miserable without him.

i would read as many threads that pertain to your consulate as possible and learn as much as you can from other vj members. there's quite a few ladies on the MENA board who have been where you are and have many different valuable experiences to share. good luck :)

Says who? Stop trying to make people post with your own ideals.

PS: I wouldn't have said that myself, not because I think it's rude but because it's not needed to make the point. Remember that the OP solicited this feedback.

You must find one. It's difficult, like I stated before, if you have a 23 y/o daughter and the CO becomes intrusive asking- why are you marrying a woman who's daughter is old enough to marry you? Some of them are that rude and intrusive.

On that note, people are ganging up on gowon. Truth is, this is not about who's rude here or not. This is about being realistic. Yes, there are plenty success stories, but thre are plenty of denials due to the age gap too. We must show both side of the story to help the OP make a rational, practical and informed decision.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

I just used the advanced search tool and looked up age difference denied in the MENA forum and there is a wealth of information, Here is a link the advanced search tool. It's your friend!

Move your quest for knowledge to the MENA forum and there you will:

A) get more informed answers

B) won't have to weed through other members petty bickering and hijacking your thread.

I'm 23 and my fiancé is 46...I feel like the adult most times. But we have been together for 4 years now and used to live together before he moved back to the states...I would of thought that if you can prove that it is a legitimate relationship, you can only hope for the best.

It is a bit different for you though as you are from the UK not a MENA country.

MENA country applications are more heavily scrutinized.

Similarly, most are not eligible for the VWP to make frequent visits which adds validity to the relationship. You lived together thus making the relationship evidence even stronger, you can also travel to the US for up to 3 months without a visa.

I wouldn't think it will be an issue if everything is in order, I would look around your country's portal for similar questions.

BTW, congratulations on your great shape.....

There is a 17 year age gap between me and my fiance (myself being the youngest). Age shouldn't come into a relationship ever. Me and my fiance have so much in common and we love each over deeply. We speak everyday and we have a beautiful baby boy who is here in England with me. My son was approved a US passport so now he has dual citizenship. It's just a question of time now, each day i just pray will be closer to us becoming a family.

I'm sorry, but Gowon is right. You will face huge scrutiny and he will most likely be put in AP which can take anywhere from a few months to a year and in some horrible cases more. Everyone here who says "it won't matter" is from low-fraud consulates, that's not your case.
