Hello all!

As of two weeks ago, my I-129f k-1 visa petition was received by USCIS and routed to... *shudders..* VermontSC. I understand that Vermont has been moving verrry slowly, so I know my fiancee and I are in for a bit of a wait, but my question is: is there anything I/she should do in the meantime? Are there any forms i should fill out so that i can quickly mail them when i *hopefully* receive the NOA2? My fiancee already has a cppy of all the paperwork submitted, anything else i might need to send her? Or should i just wait it out?

Good Morning,

After the USCIS has completed your case it will then be sent to the National Visa Center in New Hampshire. I would read up on that process and try to get that documentation ready. Such as Tax transcripts, Photos, and original copies or certified copies of Marriage Documents and birth certificates. You can also check out some threads on here about the NVC process. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

The best thing to do now is read the guides over and over. Read the reviews for the embassy where she will interview and learn any embassy specific requirements.

Preparing documents too early can cause you problems so be cautious.

Good luck to you both!

The OP submitted an I-129F for a K-1 application. There is nothing that needs to be sent to NVC. The process is different for a Fiancé visa.

Don't worry so much about processing times.

It is possible by the time you receive approval that Vermont will be the same or faster than Cali service center.

They seem to be just beginning to start swinging back in that direction now.

Sir if I have offended you in some way please accept my apology.

You were not offensive....no worry.

You reply was just honest and truthful....correct information. And that is what VJ is all about,(receiving truthful information to a question asked).

look at saylins spredsheet on nvc, its very good.just about every thing you need to know.

Jkelly, the K1 visa process differs from the K3 and CR1s. While Saylins spreadsheet is a fantastic tool for you folks, it will only confuse the OP who filed a Petition for a Fiance(e) and not for a spouse.

Jude and Fiorella. The waiting game has started for you. You can read the Flowchart and the K1 Guide to educate yourself on what will happen next; but the truth is you will not know anything for, at least, 5 months. You can't really prepare for the interview yet, because it's too early. So, try to relax and practice your patience; otherwise you will drive yourself crazy.

Thank you for telling me how I feel. Tell me, what else do I have to say about this?

Thank you for telling me how I feel. Tell me, what else do I have to say about this?

I'm sorry about your feelings, but you gave false information to the OP.

It happens, operator just corrected your mistake.

I hope you will feel better soon.

I have also accidently given false information, and am more than happy to have others correct my mistake.
