We made a mistake and the pics for my fiance are not to required specs. Her pics have a dark background. Does anyone know how will this affect my case since I have already submitted the application? Will this deny my case?

Please help!

Thanks,

- Sam

You might get an RFE for the correctly posed pics - thats not a denial - its just a request you provide more (or better) info.

Wait for THEM to contact YOU and see - if you contact before then your new pics may not meet up with your original file and you get an RFE anyways (the service centers store their files in WAREHOUSES due to volume, thats why a lot of paperwork goes walkies)

You WILL receive an RFE for the proper pictures. So prepare them in advance to avoid any delays. There have been reports of RFE for pictures that are printed on bad paper or that faded too fast.

Ditto. The back ground needs to be white.

Yeah, you will probably get an RFE like the others so just be prepared to get the right pics. This isn't a denial, it's easily fixable and you should be fine!

Sam,

What case - petition or visa application?

The consulates are typically more 'picky' than the USCIS, since the photo will be used to make the visa at the consulate. It just sits in the file with the USCIS.

But a dark rather than light background is a significant deviation from the specification.

In any event, pri answered your question the best.

Agree with Yodrak. Whilst I was the beneficiary and sent correct photos....hubby (USC) did not and we didnt get an RFE. Not to say one wont get an RFE.....one will just have to wait and see.

And remember to have more than 2 done and you'll need copies to take with you to the interview

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything
