Do you have Pinguino helado in Colombia?

No Man!! we don't!! I haven't had the chance to try it... yet... thank you for the Inception :D

Pingüino ice cream sure is tasty, but it's no Häagen Dazs.
They each have the same number of umlauts, si man.

I didn't know you could measure the quality of helado by the amount of umlauts on its name!!!! then... we are doomed in Colombia since our most famous brand of helado is Cremhelado :cry:

Sorry that Colombia is umlaut-deficient. Try Pinguino when you can, and get some Blue Bell here when it's back on the shelves.

Yes, actually we do not really use umlauts anymore... at least not in Colombia, they don't even teach that in schools anymore... language transforms... About the Blue Bell sure will try it when the time comes!! I just googled it :D

Inca cola...

Not a big fan of sodas, so not a big fan of Peruvian Inca Cola... way too much sugar in it! :dead:

On one of our last trips to Ecuador, Mrs. T-B. had a hen-party -- or, rather, a yak-party -- with a bunch of her hyskool amigas. I was Spanish-illiterately sitting there, and I drank 13 single bottles of Inca Kola during the yak-fest. At one point, I pretended to pick up one girl's beer, pretended to swig it, exclaimed "Soy un macho!" [i am an irresponsible, double-standard-applying wife-abuser], and pretended to punch Mrs. T-B. Everyone laughed.

I haven't checked to see if Inca Kola has caffeine in it, but if it does, I was probably swinging from the chandelier after about half of my intake.

The best that I can do to describe the taste of I.K. is to compare it with Mountain Dew, but more "banana." Does anyone have a better description?

Banana???!! probably it tastes more like you had diluted a pineapple lollipop in a can of Mountain Dew :D

Now... about the caffeine, I am not sure whether or not IK has it, I can assure you that after drinking 13 bottles of a sugary soda no doubt you will get sugar hyped!! that happens to my fiancé... He loves Colombian Coca - Cola (sweetened with sugar instead of corn syrup) last time he visited he had 2 bottles within an hour and after a couple minutes he was climbing the walls, it was funny at first but after a while I just wanted to punch him in the face. Yes [i am an irresponsible, double-standard-applying husband TO BE-abuser] too.

No official comment, but your grandpa is probably a very wise fellow.

I reminded Mrs. T-B. about her answer to one of the citizenship study questions, that of naming Indian tribes (her answer: "the Casino Indians"). She looked embarrassed and said, "I never said that." I reminded her that, to her, the governor of Texas at that time was Perry Ellis. She looked blank and said, "It's not?"

I then told her that the Lieutenant Governor was Calvin Klein.
