I am! I wasn't in a hurry tho...I had my work permit and I was happy with this...Wondering if USCIS got my Change of address (stupid apt building changed the names on the streets here...)

08/09/2012 - confirmation of package delivery

08/14/2012 - text/email notification of all 4 application acceptance

08/24/2012 - received biometric appt for 09/07/2012

08/27/2012 - successful walk-in biometric in Atlanta

08/27/2012 - received NOA for I-485, I-131, I-765 still waiting for I-131

10/01/2012 - received NOA for Initial Interview on November 1st in Atlanta

10/11/2012 - received text notification that EAD is in production

10/19/2012 - received EAD in the mail

11/01/2012 - interview in Atlanta: no approval on the spot

11/01/2012 - text notification later that day that I was being registered as a permeant resident :)

My interview was yesterday (Thursday, November 1) at 2:15pm in Atlanta. We arrived at 1:30pm went through security in a matter of minutes and then had to wait on the first floor until it was 1:45pm (30 minutes before our appt) to check-in. After checking in, we went upstairs to wait for our number to be called. At 2:20pm a young lady called us and we went to her office to be sworn in and interviewed. She was very serious but professional. She asked for both of our passports, GA licenses, IDs, birth certificates, my I-94 and old EAD. She made a copy of our GA licenses. She then asked my husband his name, DOB, address, place of birth and parents names. She then asked the same questions to me along with my last visa and last entry date into the USA. She then asked my husband how and where we met and asked me the yes/no questions that the I-485 application asked. She asked for bonafide marriage evidence and looked through both our photos from the last 4 years and our wedding album. After this, she said we were done and she would review our file to make sure she had all the information. If she needed more information, she would send a RFE to us. If she had everything, she would approve us and explained the conditional GC. We were out of the office by 2:45pm. The interview was straight forward but I really wanted to know if we were approved on the spot. Luckily, at 5:30pm I got a text notice that I was being registered as a permeant resident :) APPROVED!

The main lessons were do not be stressed. Take all the documentation you can and remember you are in a real relationship so you have nothing to worry about. The interviewers are serious but they are just doing their jobs!

EAD in hand, it is much prettier than the post-student EAD.

I already had SSN, so no need to do that. I want to renew my license that expired with visa on sept 19, but I think I will wait for green card, because EAD is valid only 1 year, therefore my license would too. I can wait 1 more week,.

INTERVIEW in 3 DAYS! Tuesday! I go back and forward from being nervous and not. hubby is not nervous at all.

Yes, you would have to go and get a new card without restrictions. Also to update their system that you are now a permanent resident

9/2/2011: He proposed and I said YES!!After multiple trips back and forth.....

7/4/2012: He entered USA at LAX on B2 to visit 6 months

8/8/2012: We got married!!8/8/2012: AOS packet sent (Day 0)

8/10/2012: Packet signed for at 11:48a (Day 2)

8/14/2012: We got our txt/email notifications (all 4) (Day 6)

8/16/2012: Checks cashed.. (Day 8)

8/23/2012: Biometrics letter received via "snail mail" today.. September 7th at 12p in Sacramento CA (Day 15)

8/27/2012: Finally received all 4 NOA1 hard copies via US mail (Day 19)

9/7/2012: Biometrics completed!! (Day 30)

9/19/2012: Received txt message for interview!! October 22nd, 2012.. (Day 42)

9/21/2012: And the interview letter comes in snail mail.. October 22nd, 2pm in Sacramento..Time to get the final stuff together.. (Day 44)

10/16/3012: Received txt msg, EAD is approved and card being mailed. Right before interview and not really needed anyhow!! (Day 69)

iaia, congrats on your interview notice!!! Lots of good things going on with everyone!

My last day at work is Dec 7th. I changed it so I can work through a full pay period. I will be leaving Maryland Nov 8th. Gesi starts work tomorrow and is sooo excited! Last week he went shopping for work clothes, boots, etc. lol He didn't have anything because he came for a visit in March and never left, haha. My boss asked me to stay, said they were making changes and these would be good changes and advancement opportunities would be coming. But talking to Gesi and hearing how happy he is being around family and friends in Florida with a job...... I couldn't take that away from him. I can find a job anywhere.... good.gif
