(Sigh, man) If you really love your son, give him a name that won't get him picked on when he's young, that sounds like a grown man's name when he's grown, and that he doesn't have to SPELL for everybody all the time.

I used to love the name Aidan when I was young (it was rare back then - I heard it on a British soap that I used to watch! LOL)... but then I had a boss named Aidan... and then after that, it just EXPLODED in popularity. I know at least 6 kids named Aidan/Aiden/Ayden/etc now (at least, if you're going to use it, spell it the traditional way - Aidan!) so now that one is out.

Ethan is a nice name, but it also became really popular.

I really do like Arthur though. I think it's sweet for a baby, and he'll grow into it nicely as an adult. So there's my pick

I'm sure you will pick a great name! I agree with the ones who think Arthur is a bit outdated these days. if you can make it a short name! Think about all the bubbles the child will have to fill out on standardized tests. My maiden name barely fit before. Now it's lost cause.

If you want your son's a$$ kicked from pre-school all the way to college graduation then by all means name him Authur.

If you want your son spending his days at the back of the class hoping his teacher doesn't call out his name then by all means go ahead and give him a combination of you and your wife's name.

I suggest looking at Surnames for a few extra boy names or give people an idea of what type of names you're looking for. Eg my nephew got a name starting with Z because his mother said she welcomed any suggestions with Z in it. It was quite funny when Ezekiel and Zachariah were given as options as well as combo names.

Oh and name him something that is appropriate for the different stages of his life, ie for a child, a teenager, a young professional etc.

I don't mind any of those names. If i was to pick from those I would choose Aiden, Ethan then Arthur in that order.

I like traditional names the most like, Henry, Harry/ Harrison, Oscar, Oliver, John, James, Colin.
